Looks like the 22:38 still runs on Friday and Saturday (as well as the 21:35). So more choice for a weekend evening out in Sheffield.

South parkway is served hourly on Saturdays also. No Sunday service I think.

Yes looks like they couldn't resource the additional services for whatever reason. One extra circuit did run, leaving Southport at 10:16, 12:18 and 15:48 (777049). Which could probably be done by a single driver and train manager. I assume these extra services rely on train crew volunteering...

Interesting because the old barriers did have card readers (for Walrus/Metro cards). Maybe they aren't the correct type for bank cards or they just needed replacing?
