No of course its not right to sell the customer the wrong ticket.
If she not of been told the restrictions on the ticket, then she should be allowed to travel immediately. In my opinion.

Does this mean you also be able to top up and buy an Oyster card from these stations too, will be useful when theres a queue at the tube station office.
Medway Passengers lose too, we lose two trains from here (Newington goes from two trains an hour to one) other stations lose two fast trains to Victoria, the remaining two have been slowed down.
Yes we get the new trains, but they aren't any quicker than the Victoria trains i believe.
Is it possible for me to buy a Zone 1-6 travelcard on the internet and pick it up at a station that has a FastTicket machine. If so what do i select.
I ask because im having frequent occurences on southeastern where the conductor says the ticket cant be sold as its London Underground only...
This may be one of the routes valid from Jan 2010, check with the operator first. :)

East India is in Zones 2 and 3. So it will be fine to buy a Zone 1 and 2 ticket. Current travelcard price is £5.60. I'd recommend using Oyster myself.
