FastTicket One Day Travelcard

Is it possible for me to buy a Zone 1-6 travelcard on the internet and pick it up at a station that has a FastTicket machine. If so what do i select.

I ask because im having frequent occurences on southeastern where the conductor says the ticket cant be sold as its London Underground only (?!?, it clearly isnt) or one time i had to operate the conductors machine and buy my own ticket that way as he said there was no such ticket. I'm just a passenger and have no experience of using one so i was quite pleased i did it. I have to buy my ticket seperately but its unfortunate i now cant because i now have to change with a 30minute delay to my journey.

Yes you can buy on internet. Specify Origin: (say) Lewisham (can be any London suburban station). Destination: London All Zones Travelcard. Select Date. Select Offpeak times of travel. Price £7.50.
Buy. Specify FastTicket Location and allow 2 hours before collection.

Yes.

If so what do i select.

On the NXEC site, select any station within Zones 1-6 as the From station. For example, East Croydon. Then begin to type London in the To box. After 3 characters, a drop-down box appears offering London All Zones Travelcard [1].

The procedure may be different for other booking engines.

[1] The card they sell is Zones 1-6, despite them calling it All Zones. No doubt NXEC's successors will catch up with Zones 7-9 and W one day!

No, New Deal cards are not issues by stations and can only be obtained through the benefits agency/council.

That is my understanding.

I asked a New Deal One day travelcard, but found it through London Midland. Thanks for the prompt replies.

Matt I think the OP meant he already hasone and wants to use it.

For reference Hager, yes, most of the TOC ticket sales sites (if not all) allow the New Deal discount, but make sure you have the Railcard with you when you travel

Note that only Trainline and RailEasy powered sites will allow you to buy a ticket with a New Deal card, the ones using WebTIS (NXEA, NXEC, Southern and Southeastern) won't.

Top Tip: The WebTIS powered sites will accept NLCs and CRS codes when doing a lookup, which makes for faster entry most of the time, though they won't offer you a Travelcard if you put in a London Terminal as the origin. (They won't do tickets to London International either).

Useful NLCs in the context of this thread:

• 0032 - London Zones 1-2
• 0034 - London Zones 1-4
• 0035 - London Zones 1-6
• 0038 - London Zones 2-6
