14248 was picked up by Kendal this morning from Morecambe after being re-engined, they came down in Kendal's fitters van. 14193 has changed positions in the yard, with 20127 next to it, joining 20128 on the back fence. 20463 has returned from Frenchwood, minus ticket machine but still displaying...
Happened to me in odd time in a B10M/B, seems to almost jump out of gear, especially when you take your foot off the gas when coming up to the top of a hill etc... not exactly brilliant but I put it down to one of the quirks of the vehicle! Seems to happen in the Olympians as well... must be the...
Don't know if its the sunlight on the silver or its just I personally think its going to take some getting used too. Don't like the front, needs something there to break up that blue and I wouldn't know who the hell was operating it! Far too many colours used, there are 6 different ones (again...
Possibly the pavement as well as that's seen a good bashing as the gap we've had to get through in recent weeks has gradually become thinner and thinner! And don't get me started on the bright spark who A) kept the footpath open and B) came up with the idea of segregating pedestrians and traffic...
I've worked at worse than Morecambe... Every depot has its breakdowns and to be fair the age of Morecambe' stock you can't really blame some of it for not wanting to play ball sometimes (21003, cough). Consider the bashing the vehicles take on a day to day basis and some of the, what only...
At a guess, they could be 2 of 28511/3,4 as the other is stagecoach livery is 28510, one of the later N230's and they are more than likely to keep it, especially as it carries the private reg.
AFAIK only one Esteem was ever repainted out of Stagecoach colours, 28512 and that was because of its altercation with a Crane on Fylde Road about a year ago.
Does anyone have a list of which Scania's and Solos have been kept by Stagecoach. I seem to remember it being quite a few Solos, quite suprising really although I know PB used to have quite a few spares.
Interesting they've kept one of the ones they were forced to repaint back into PB livery...
 And the poor driver was yours truely! 21003 decided it didn't like the thought of a Kirkby and a 942 with myself later on and decided to cut out on leaving the bus station and wouldn't restart. A motley crew of drivers and staff was assembled to push bus, driver and around 15 passengers...
It should be noted that not all had full repaints, only the dark blue and the red in many cases. The white therefore wasn't touched so can look quite grotty especially this time of year. They are also on a hard route when it comes to the amount of sand and crap which is on the road, following a...
They are now debranded of City Connect branding and are being used on all sorts, including regular 61s. I expected wherever they go, a repaint will be needed prior to re-entering service, I doubt very much they'll stay at Preston.
One of the 2 ex Preston Bus Scanias was on the 11 today...
Gas Leak, has been shut since last Friday and is DUE to re-open on Saturday, although has been already delayed once so don't hold your breath!
Typical January roadworks, around the Battery is being resurfaced so fun and games trying to get in and out of Stanley Road on the 2's and 5's. Also...
They ended up going to PVS I think before all 3 were sold to Northern Blue, my mate actually went and picked one of them up when he worked there, were very popular buses there. Seem to remember that B900 WRN was also in the yard when he came to collect one of the Javelins.
16103 is lettered up for Stagecoach in Lancashire with Ribble legals so could be off to Chorley/Preston in the new year. 14195 is withdrawn next to it, with not a lot of movement from the reserve/scrap area since well before Christmas. It can be confirmed that 47248 hasn't been re-trimmed and...
Work is being carried out on Chapel Street all week.... should be completed by the end of the week.... so probably after Christmas. Something to do with gas and nothing AFAIK to do with beans...!
The Leylands are still in use, mainly on the Preston College 4C route as neither have had their blinds altered. Don't know if the B10M's are still in use there or not which would cater for 2 of the deckers, plus the increase in school contracts in september and Preston has always seemed to...
20477 in service, freshly repainted, this afternoon heading north on Garstang Road towards the college with 61 blinds programed as I was heading into Preston. Cumbrian fleet names but "owned by..." legals in the front windscreen of all places, so maybe on loan from reserve to cover whatever is...
The X2/X61 and megabus rostas have always been separate but yes your right, in theory ANY driver on whichever rosta they may work can be called upon to drive the X2 as long as they know it and not have to have a tacho or fill in their 'book'. Of course, this will save Stagecoach money in...
