We had a Class 334 unit running round around Chrstmas time with new "Scotrail Blue" vinyls on the cab and old Strathclyde on the rest of the train. This was due to stock shortage over that period. I believe it has the full new livery now!!

8 units are out working in passenger service during the day, stabled at Corkerhill or Ayr during the night. I think they're on lower mileage diagrams that finish after the evening peaks. The other 2 working units were on Shields Depot for attention. --- old post above --- --- new post below...

Hmmm!! That does put back the Class 334 cascade!! I wonder if its political pressure (more votes on this route??!!) :lol: or a requirment to get the Class 322's off lease? They'd need units for this service to be the 4-car versions...

Like other's I can only speculate - but in my professional capacity, and looking at the photographs so far, that bent main frame would be beyond practical repair. I would expect that the lcomotive would be stripped, the components all assessed and tested. If in any doubt about their soundness...

This week, 8 units are diagrammed out of 10, and all 10 were available for service today. Whatever the Class 380 technical problems are, let's hope they're sorted soon so that the Airdree - Bathgate route can get its 15 minute interval service soon. I hear that it should be upped from hourly...

Agreed!! Those who want to be first or "be part of the day" will pay the price, and goodness knows the railway needs the money! I'll be going later in the year and use a normal service train!!
