A man was arrested at Sleaford station this evening after threatening the Driver and guard of the (17.xx) train to Lincoln.
Turned out to be a toy gun and nobody was hurt. However, that was unknown at the time. The man was (apparently) an escapee from Lincoln prison and had traveled to...
At the start of April we are taking the kids to Scotland for a couple of days.
Thanks to last year's free rewards scheme, we are traveling first class from Newark to Edinburgh.

Central Trains used to run a Saturday morning service from Sleaford to Cardiff Central.
Cardiff being pretty much South West of Sleaford, the service began in a Northerly direction to Lincoln.
Train was packed with rugby fans piling back from Wembley, as well. Because of the time it was going to take to get back to Newark, I bailed at Peterborough and got a lift home. Pleased I did now.
I assume it's the same on the 5th, looking at the timetables. Any idea if the trains will make additional stops (Sleaford for Grantham or at Lincoln)?
Never mind. Found it on East Coast site now.
Digby Station between Ruskington and Metheringham on the Sleaford to Lincoln line is complete - buildings, platforms, the lot. It only needs a sign and it could open tomorrow.
There is also quite a bit of Scopwick and Timberland, Dunstan, Potterhanworth and Branston and Heighington still...
A number of times from Spalding to Sleaford. The train would fill at Peterborough and empty at Spalding (except for me and on occasions some others) and then fill up again at Sleaford for the journey onto Lincoln.
I thought I would register to give you my views on this.
If you travel from Sleaford, the change at Grantham will be easy - certainly easier than negotiating the often unmanned gates at Grantham (not to mention the traffic on market day).
