LNER - Apprentice Driver - Kings Cross & Leeds (06/01/22)

Besides, even if it was 10 minutes, it doesn't mean you *have* to use 10 minutes.

LNER - Apprentice Driver - Kings Cross & Leeds (06/01/22)

In the article, at the time of publication, there were 10 different roles listed (including auditor etc). So, I am sure they're looking for more than 10 folks in total. Just sit back and be patient, what's done is done.

Oh my god, my cat descended during one of the questions, and plonked her bum on the remote control (had the TV on mute, but needed the light as my living room is pretty dark). o_O I guess my face when the sounds came on, and trying not to give my cat a stare of daggers will be giving them a bit...

Which is half the reason I (and I suspect other users) was puzzled at the 20 Questions from some users about what kind of questions we get asked. It's honestly pretty straightforward, we weren't lying when we were saying "just read the instructions and get on with it" :) Everything crossed for...

Opinion: Do more people pass Train Driver Psychometrics these days?

When I did my psychometrics the first time round, out of 12, there was 3 of us left. When mine timed out and I did them again, out of 6, I was the only one remaining. How many of them are on this forum? Who knows?

Aye, you're not going to hear from unsuccessful candidates often, it's not exactly something one advertises from the rooftops.

It's pretty self explanatory when you get the instructions. I wouldn't worry too much about it. It is quite alien talking away, but having no way of reading or gauging how it is being received.

LNER - Apprentice Driver - Kings Cross & Leeds (06/01/22)

I received the video interview invite the following morning. I am guessing as it's the weekend, HR aren't likely to be around, so anyone doing the assessments on Friday, probably won't hear back until Monday.

LNER - Apprentice Driver - Kings Cross & Leeds (06/01/22)

I did all of the tests on my mobile, and the video interviews on my laptop.

Really sorry to hear that, was that on the error checking? :(

How do you mean? You have to consider the job you're applying for, and what it entails. You need to be safety driven, focussed on the task at hand, and consequences of your in/actions. I thought the most/least were pretty obvious, but I already work on the railway. 1641647625 What happened?

No, I got about halfway through. Error checking always places more value on accuracy over speed.

I was interviewed yesterday, apparently not many people made it to interview. But we should hear back shortly (especially with notice periods needing accounting for before start of training) Good luck everyone! :D
