Just as well that it's usually empty south of EMA.

Thank you for a well written, factual update on the current situation. It's good to see everybody try to pull together when such events occur.

    NET (Nottingham) Tram Discussion

Perhaps it's that they routinely advise the publlic of every problem?. I don't recall hearing that much about problems on the bigger systems (i.e Manchester, Sheffield etc), but that could simply be that they don't broadcast each and every issue. .

    NET (Nottingham) Tram Discussion

Fair enough but NET themselves seem to regularly list problems, parts of routes that can't be served, accidents etc. In tram system terms Nottingham is small, just 2 cross-city routes - they could do with building some confidence with potential travellers.

    NET (Nottingham) Tram Discussion

Surely, there's no likelihood whatsoever of the tram going to EMA, there's just too little there (even the regular buses take few passengers). Much the same for Derby, no chance in next 10-20+ years. I'd much rather they concentrated on getting the current system more reliable, there's problems...

I have good reason to believe you, I think there is little time left for the company as a whole. .

Don't forget that Vectare are joining Flixbus from April, seemingly based at Nottingham.

Given their obvious liking for Yutong single deckers have they tried a Yutong double decker ?

    Wellglade Group

Totally agree. They've been struggling to provide sufficient buses for a very long time now, hence the X38 fiasco. Once Arriva finally decided to take on all 4 duties on the X38, Wellglade suddenly jumped up, stamped their feet a lot - and promptly found 5 (?) buses to throw at the route. It...

I wonder why the remaining 4 haven't been swapped over so far.

Most of those are perfectly normal on Sundays. They will change during the day as the driver takes the bus with him if/when he later does a different route.

Thanks for all that, Matt. It's so refreshing to have someone prepared to explain and correct issues.

Not if they want to ensure that their bus turns up!. TrentBarton are still not running all the buses they should be (not just X38). . Passengers just want a reliable bus service, it doesn't have to try to claim that it's the really good bus service [when it clearly isn't].

Well said. It's about time that some facts, like the terrible X38 situation from TB, was emphasised. There seem to be a number of Anti-Arriva posters on here who handily overlook just how poor TrentBarton has become in recent times (and is currently continuing much the same). TB used to be a top...

Perhaps they could help themselves, and many passengers, by coming off the X38.

    Arriva Midlands

That also assumes that they intend keeping all their operations. Just closing down bits of, say, Kent would provide more buses to update elsewhere.
