    I've had several arguments with the barrier staff at Barrow, when trying to leave the station using them between Heald Green and Carlisle (or stations on the Tyne Valley), and have also occasionally had issues at Manchester Airport. All other barriers I've tried to pass have been fine

    The main thing of the X50 is that it goes quite deep into parts of Trafford Park that the tram and the 250 bus don't really touch.

    TfW are completely wrong there. They're probably rejecting on the basis of the split, in which case you should quote NRCOT 14.2 at them (condition 14.1 does not apply, I've checked the Ffestiniog Round Robin terms and conditions, and they don't ban splits)
