Well i've never had a 'real' job, been in full time education. I phoned up and seems any letter with it on is okay, just hope that's correct, i'm always worrying!
Turns out my student finance letters don't have it on, but I found a bank letter from 2005!! with it on.
Really grrr's me how you...
Quite worried, always things out of my control mess things up... Letter says you need to take ID (passport) and your NI number. I lost my wallet recently and have no NI card but know the number, applied to get the number on a letter when I sent off the application for the job but haven't got...
At Stratford the other day "This is Stratford change here for London underground and Docklands Light Railway for....(long pause).... The Docklands" Made me laugh.
I just thought of something. I didn't expect it to take months until I looked into it.
I'm supposed to be moving around late June, so i'm worried I may miss the letter if it takes that long..
Is there anything I can do about this?
David
Thanks for the response. I've considered the above and realised if I can get to an assessment its the interview I need to prepare well for as I can practice the tests.
I just hope I can get decent examples for the questions, considering I may not have that much experience compared to...
Saw this new 'neutral' livery today, it looks alright considering. Makes the trains look a bit like giant underground trains though.
I'm a bit confused how this franchise stuff works? Could anyone tell me why franchises last so little time? Surely they can do very little for improvements as it...
Well i've made the first move. Had to get a train to and from London just to hand deliver the application .
I am torn because if my application gets accepted and I fail the assessment centre/interview i've used one of my chances, correct? Yet if my application fails at least I still have...
Off to London later this morning. Will have to use the satnav, hopefully its not too crazy getting there!
Any idea on how long it'l take to process them all?
David
I missed this news.. Is there a link?
What are they being repainted into? I thought stock was remaining in neutral colours as the franchises last so little time..

I've been doing a ton of research on how to become a train driver but have a few questions. (I didn't want to make my own thread as you seem to get a lot of threads asking for stuff that could be found here..)
Its been my dream to become a train driver for many years, always had a passion for...
Ha I didn't expect so many replies.
Very interesting replies and some funny stories. So TOC's generally advise about going before and after, its not just left as an obvious common sense thing to do?
David
I couldn't help but ask this.. why not? :p.
While thinking about train drivers, myself and the woman wondered what happens if the driver needs the toilet?
It seems one of those things you'd not really think about. When you get trained is there guidance on drinking and toilet breaks? I can...
I hope I have at least the chance to get to the assessment centre. I lack experience as i've been in full time education and a bit of voluntary work, but it shouldn't hold me back too much if I have some good enough examples for the questions in the interviews, I hope.
