It scares me the most and I know its meant to be hard, but surely if the examples you use are real you can go into every detail? I thought a bit of why they grill you over things is to check you're not making it up?
I don't really have many experiences to use due to being young and not really...
Does anyone think they did well in a structured interview though?
I feel I have good enough examples for most the questions, but I suppose it more depends on how you put yourself across not just how good the responses are.
Colchester so still in the Greater Anglia network and not far at all. You must have to get up quite early for the assessment days! Make sure you get enough rest

I would need to relocate also. I hear they are put off people who say that as often people don't bother. I hope this doesn't affect me as I would actually be up for it! Aaah! Also I don't drive, but would move close enough to cycle.. I just worry that it would put me below others.. !
I did feel a bit stupid. But was a bit stressed after only just getting there in time due to delayed trains! I managed to get through the day fine though!
The tall lankyish guy, I probably looked as young as you, but i'm 25. I believe I was next to you for the fault finding or the dots, or both :\.
Oh I was the guy who didn't have enough rest HA. (I was being honest, I thought it was just a survey!)
The phone test was automated and to check you can speak english from what I could tell.
I'm alright with the reaction test being another day, I get a rest and more preparation! I doubt they would stick the interview on same day as reaction test ? Aaah!
Do they have a lot more 321's than they need then? Like how many do they have 'spare' during a normal day? I ask because I don't remember seeing FGE livered ones often and I saw at least 3 yesterday!
I assume so, apparently noone really fails the phone thing as its just to check you can speak english, although I did hesitate and say a few things wrong because I couldn't understand the voice on one or two times due to noise. I found the dots the easiest part of the day, this seems to be odd...
Ah yeah, I should have mentioned it was an old FGE one. Come to think of it I haven't seen them in a while, I swear most were in ONE or NXEA before.. I'm not a regular train traveller though.
I thought TOC's didn't like guards to be funny in case it offends or there's someone on the train who just heard they have cancer or something (Read something similar in the funny train announcements thread)
Think they were green... The doors outside were definitely green, a dirty green around the edges, ugh!
Makes sense I never knew they went to norwich as its only one a day! Seems even more odd 317 did it for a while as i've never seen them past Shenfield
How odd, they send the example ones and its something i'm really good at (except the odd maths bit). Is this the same for everyone? I had heard a lot of TOC's don't do it anymore but they did send the practice test!
