So..... tomorrow is part 2 of the assessment in Doncaster which happens to be 5 years to the day since I was last there doing the same thing , only after having a dmi as well was put in a talent pool..... feel likes deja vu . Anybody else got part 2 tomorrow

It's might be 9-3ish at the training depot but depends where you're based as to how you get to the training depot and what time you start , I know some that's been nearly 12hrs most days from door to door .

Mobile means you can go to places that have yards or travel with a train that needs shunting in to places . You will have a base but if you need to drive some other place nearby then you would do that . I don't believe that there is any train driving involved but driving of a motor vehicle will...

I asked the same question when a guards position came up with swr at weymouth and was told even tho I'm a guard with gwr I would have to sit the assessment like any other person applying . Internal is internal with gwr only which as you state is madness

With the hold on positions , I have part 2 of the assessment coming up soon , I wonder if that will get put on hold as well
