I didn't find it hurtful, I think it's that maybe some found my request strange/unnecessary though as we've learned people all have their differnt ways of preparing for untertaking journys.
In my case this includes being well prepared by when possible knowing the stations layout
Your post sums it up, in my case as I think I stated earlier in thread not sure, I prefer to do dummy runs whenever possible to check out the station. Now as said about the main station I've been able to check it out on Google Maps Street View but I've not been able and won't be able to check...
I may have a good sense of direction but when possible I like to do dummy runs of a journey so I can see what a station looks like, some people may find it strange but to me it's just a journey and a chance to film to some trains as well
I just like getting an idea what a station looks before I go down so I know the basic layout of the station, I've been able to do that with the main station as you can walk through Paddington on Google Maps Street View.
I'll give you all an example of what I mean, the first time I went down to...
Since I can't find a map of the station online I was wondering if it's not too much of a trouble if someone could draw a simple plan the station? Thanks in advance, it's ok if nobody can as I'm sure I'll manage in December, I would prefer photo's of the station if possible. Hope this isn't a too...
I would speed up the doubling and electrifying of the Aberdeen-Glasgow/Edinburgh line especially around the Montrose/Usan section of the line as currently 2030 is the rough estimate for these works to be completed by, far too long in my opinion as it's a main line
I have no idea as my closest station is Montrose but I'll be going down to Cardiff in December which is why I asked the question, I'll guess the new platforms are open and it's just the cosmetic changes to the building needing finished as a video on YouTube shows Writestyle moving glass panels...
I was thinking of using the main entrance when I go down, it'll be Wednesday 3rd December I'll be going and know the train I get into Paddington is due in about 12.02, will the station be just as busy as usual round then?
Thanks, I tried that but not exactly what I was looking for, it looks like I'll just have to see when I get there though thanks to Google Street View I know where the escalators and stairs down are in the main station
It won't be until December though I like to know where I'm going within a station hence the question asked, the app I found doesn't have a plan of the station, thanks for all the help so far, it's really appreciated
Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a floor plan of Paddington Underground station showing where the ticket office, platforms and exits upto the main station are, something like the floor plans you get on National Rail Enquiries...
my closest line is Aberdeen-Dundee though must admit I think they should electrify the line sooner as we know it's a major route along the ECML, I will admit I long for the day to see the work starting especially to sort out the bottle neck from Montrose-Usan
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows if there's a definite date for the completion of the works at Cardiff Queen Street as all I can find on the Network Rail page is due complete 2014? If there's not any further info that's ok, also would it be possible if someone posted pictures of the station...
