    Purchasers name on advance tickets

Hi all, not sure if this is in the correct forum or not (if it is, Mods please move accordingly), and I've also done a quick search on the site and not found anything. I normally tend to buy advance tickets once or twice a year, and normally with cross London journey so have to have physical...

    Storm Bert Saturday 23rd November

Seems like all trains on the TAM (treherbert aberdare Merthyr) lines have been cancelled. Was aiming to get the first train if the day from pontyoridd to Cardiff (8:42) was cancelled from treherbert, then was sat on the 9:20 when the guard said it was cancelled because of flooding between...

Transport for Wales Class 231 / 756 Stadler FLIRTs

I've just delayed my journey from central to pontypridd for 20 mins or so, purely so I can get on the 6:56. First impressions, so much more space, comfier seats and so incredibly cleaner, and do much clearer announcements

TfW South East Wales PayG expansion

Thank you, had searched but obviously missed that!

TfW South East Wales PayG expansion

From what I can work out, it's currently active from Chepstow, ebbw vale, Abergavenny, Pontypridd (just launched), maesteg and Pyle, through to Cardiff (central/queen street/bay), with the other metro areas one launching by the end of the year, so the rhymney line ones won't work yet

TfW South East Wales PayG expansion

Am not sure, it just says your contactless card, and Def sounds like it has gone live Zero ideas I'm afraid

TfW South East Wales PayG expansion

I've just seen that the tfw pay as you go scheme has expanded as far as pontypridd now. Using the prices on this page, and the Map shown below, am I reading things correctly, or, by using Pay as you go, from Pontypridd to Cardiff (whether bay, queen street, central or otherwise), I would be...

Trivia: Level crossings with no pedestrian access while they're down

Another example (in High Dykes neck of the woods), Metheringham, on the Peterborough/Sleaford to Lincoln line, the Car park is on the Lincoln bound side. Whenever I'm back in the shire, I always get to meg from the Billinghay direction (so on the Sleaford bound side of the tracks), and my lift...

If I happen to be on another at any point, I will try and see if I can get a photo of the gap for you

    South Wales 'Metro' updates

I'm currently sat on what I assume is one (the newer trains that have been running on the rhymney line for a bit) at Cardiff central to Treherbert. Have had to treble check 3 times to make sure I'm on the correct train!

    South Wales 'Metro' updates

Thank you both. I was just quite confused (and didn't know whether to blame it on me not being fully awake because of the clock changes )

    South Wales 'Metro' updates

Does anyone have any ideas of why all the trains pontypridd to Merthyr seem to be cancelled today (according to the tfw app), but yesterday they were still shown as running? 1711879640 The bizarre thing is that they are now all showing as running again. Traksy was showing them as cancelled also...

    South Wales 'Metro' updates

Too days in a row I've been on the 6:37 from ponty to queen street (ex-merthyr) and has felt so much quieter than normal without all of the Rhondda rail replacements getting on it! Got the 5:39 CDQ-PPD back, and it was a TRB service, vast majority of people seemed to be staying on past ponty

    South Wales 'Metro' updates

Have just had a look on the TFW app, and it's showing direct trains between treherbert and central on Monday, so seems like that is correct

    South Wales 'Metro' updates

Hopefully it doesn't Hopefully it doesn't delay it

    South Wales 'Metro' updates

The most recent news I've seen (unless I've missed some on here) says that the treherbert line line will open at some point this month, and I know that they've been running trains along in recent weeks, but does anybody know when? I'm actually asking for selfish reasons, I tend to have to get...

    South Wales 'Metro' updates

They've been running up and down all day (every time I look at traksy, I've missed the reverse journey and how far Cardiffwards they travelled

    South Wales 'Metro' updates

I don't know when it's reopening, but I have seen a few trains on the treherbert branch at ponty today. No idea whether this headcode is for 'test' or 'treherbert'
