Train was actually booked into Blea Moor loop (as you would expect with the Branch Line Society :smile:). Once we'd gone in there, it was wasn't a surprise when the delayed service trains went first.

The 66s had been on the train since Edinburgh and were booked to remain attached all day (just as well in the circumstances!)

It's been 1Z** for well over 30 years. When I first had dealings with it in the late 1980s it apparently ran as 1Z01 with the Queen on board, with the numbers increasing as the seniority of who was being carrying decreased but it has been running with a random 1Z** number for a few years now.

Just been to Chinnor and they are running top and tail with GWR pannier tank 6412 on the Chinnor end and class 08 diesel D3018 on the Princes Risborough end.

As far as portacabins go, Upper Holloway wasn't that bad; at least it had insulation which made it more pleasant to be in than the similar box at Gospel Oak (now gone). When I worked it 30+ years ago, it had a small panel but not sure that is still the case with all the changes that have taken...
