I see the proposed Chesterton station is back in the news.
I believe though this will just cause a bottle neck for XC.
Would be good if the platforms will be added with extra track and leave the main to the fast traffic....
I have took 158 and 170 in Platform 1&3 but only if the unit is a double due to Signal sighting. We shut the engines down on arrival. No Voyagers because of platform length.
Before or after August...Judging by the ballot outcome...
I think some Enthusiasts get it in there head that because the WCML or ECML are Big Trains and Big Speeds its more money.. Maybe under mileage payments in BR days. But thats against DOO.
Nowadays the gaps are all over the place...
Always knew they did a fair few destinations off the HSLs but im quite amazed how many! Plus the Cherbourg - Dijon service has stopped. On the classic lines is it 200kmh max or more?

The 322s got knackered in the end. But we always had great runs.
Not entirely correct.... Its down to maintenance. I drive 170s, also did 158s and 156s in Central days... In the past couple of years XCs 170s have had a slight performance improvement as the power was not set at full to reduce maintenance costs. We often race a 158 out of Ely to Ely North and...
Indeed. Often its at a standstill and it blocks the town route to Tesco's.
Elly will be hit financially with trade unless the Southern Bypass is built. Looks like its too late now.
GB..? On my Leicester run this morning i thought that the one of the Road Bridges between Luffenham and Manton...
