I was presuming the salary is wrong as it says £20k for training and £20k once trained? Just wondered if that's right or once trained the salary rises?

Just checking for a friend who is interested in applying for a shunter position at GTR, I think the salary is wrong here as it's the same as the training pay. Does anyone know what the full salary is...

No it doesn't mean you've failed, they take a while to go through all applications. No news is good news.

That's unlucky mate, I'm sure you will be successful next time. I do think one of the most important parts is totally understanding the tests, I got a bit confused on one of them but kept asking the guy to explain it until I got it.

Ha! Yes, it did take me by surprise but I think it's just to see your thought process.

It is but don't let your guard down, stay 100% professional, listen to each question and respond accordingly. They will want to know about you, why you have applied, what you know about the company and future plans, they even asked me how I would pull away in a car from a traffic light.

I agree, this is exactly my experience.

MMI is now done last on a separate day, after you have a DMI.

At least that doesn't mean never, although medicals/assessments will start to run out.

No it shouldn't make a difference to your depot, I had my DMI at Hitchin but that's not where I applied to.
