It should be interesting to see how this one turns out, last time Gwynedd Council got in a merry old tangle as Lloyds and Express Motors both registered significant parts of the route and services commercially at the last minute, and who can really blame them from protecting their respective...

The timetable Gwynedd show from the 3rd November is completely different to that which Lloyds are showing on their website. The 06.10 departure from Machynlleth used to be a positioning run for the bus to become the T2 from Dolgellau, this is no longer required as the T2 times have changed. Both...

Lloyds have amended their X27 timetable, the header though states "Machynlleth - Dolgellau - Abermaw/Barmouth" - whilst the times below only relate to "Machynlleth - Dolgellau". Is this a typo error or a taste of things to come?

Lloyds Coaches will now be operating more drivers from Dolgellau with YJ14BCX being stabled their overnight it had been operating the X27 all day Very interesting to see your notes regarding the first weekday operations at Dolgellau, you mention Lloyds stabling a Solo SR overnight at the...

Express Motors yesterday registered service T2 on VOSA but only from Bangor to Dolgellau, are we to presume that Lloyds and Express will meet up in Dolgellau with passengers changing buses? Certainly make a lot of sense for the operators, cutting out a lot of positioning of vehicles etc.

Lloyds today cancelled service 30(X27) from December 21st, this service is largely off peak but does serve as positioning runs for services 30, 33 and T2. Probably all will be revealed if it is all or most of the X27 service being withdrawn once the full T2 timetable is available or a case of...

Does that mean that any journeys that Lloyds and Express are not covering commercially will be covered by Huws Taxis? or will Lloyds and Express be asked to put in a price for the tendered operation.

Although Lloyds Coaches have registered certain services following the initial awarding the tender to Huw Taxi of Penygroes. Lloyds drivers are currently unaware of any changes to the service. Have you seen the new timetable at all? I assume that the Huw Taxi involvement will be north of...

When do the current contract/registrations expire? With that plus the required notice period (56 days?) it should be possible to derive the deadline for new registrations? Although wasn't the current X50 contract initially only supposed to run for 6 months but now planned to continue until...

If you look on TED - Tenders Electronic Daily it quotes a reference no. 348160-2014, this states that as the service has been registered commercially the Council has withdrawn the tender. However no registrations have been made to my knowledge with VOSA yet and the interim timetable shown on...

Does that mean there could yet be further delays or revisions. From the amount of yellow shading on the proposed timetable it would seem other than taking the lowest tender Gwynedd have little room to move. Also if for instance an operator has registered part of the journey to Dolgellau and then...

So is the timetable you show be the one that will operate from the beginning of November and will Express and Lloyds be the operators? and if so what is the share.

Lloyds currently use two new Versa's which seat 39 x 42 respectively for the daytime services and use a new 30 seat Solo SR (one of two) for the evening service presumably because the loads are much lower. Express have one commercial and one tendered journey and usually use a 40+ seater. All...

Can't be long now then until Gwynedd announce who has won the T2 which should complete the tendering process for this area. Interesting GHA vehicles will be branded livery, I wonder whether the winners of the T2 will also be expected to either re-livery existing vehicles or purchase new...
