When they widened the road bridge over the tracks at Feltham a few years ago it was moving the utilities that caused major delays. Seems that they had to move them separately rather than at the same time
Caught one of these coming back from Kew bridge this afternoon. Very nice apart from the school kids. Too good for the Portsmouth line keep them on the weybridge service.:lol:
On Thursday evening I took the 20:50 train from Waterloo to Bracknell. On several occasions the PIS displayed a message saying that tickets purchased with a Railcard were (invalid or not permitted) on this service. I can't remember the exact phrasing.
This is not the case as far as I know...
Saw it speed through Richmond So it didn't call there. Not sure if it is related but the following Windsor service was 8 minutes late. Door release at all stations was painfully slow and could have caused the delay.
Feltham is my local station. People pick up and drop off all the time. You will only get into trouble if you enter the bus stop area on the other side of the station as cars are not permitted.
I am sure I heard that SWR claimed that it slowed up unloading at stations at a time when they were trying to shave seconds off dwell times. Passengers waiting until the last moment to stow tables and struggling to exit

Some of the earlier discussions on dwell times.
