Well I went to Manchester, no Mark 4s around - but I was a bit surprised that both trains I used were 153s and in half an hour at Shrewsbury, all the way there and back, and 20 more minutes at Shrewsbury returning, I only saw one 175 right at the end! I thought they'd brought most of those back...

So ask the person at the ticket barrier? I'd be more likely to want to leave the station on the return connection because it's longer & fewer trains go through in the time.

Out of interest, when do 197s start to get to Shrewsbury services? Aren't they even due on my actual local line (the Cambrian) at some point, or are they keeping the 158s here because of the... interesting signalling we have?

Aha, thank you - crafty timetable misleading us like that! So those three are the weekday diagrams for Mark 4 then...ok :) Are the new Merseyrail trains on the Chester line yet? If there's no new TFW trains usable yet I might go to Liverpool instead to see it all dressed up for Eurovision :)

Yeah that was the idea. 1.25MB per second is what, 75 per minute? So for an hour it's 4.5GB? That is a lot. :lol: How much less is SD streaming, or indeed radio streaming? As you can tell this isn't something I've thought much about before! :)
