It is certainly worth pointing out again that the Leicester situation is NOT “a two week lockdown”. It is an INDEFINITE lockdown, with two week reviews, in much the same way as the original one had regular three week reviews. The expectation is that this will last most of the summer.

Even if we get a completely effective vaccine, I can see people like her saying we need to maintain social distancing restrictions indefinitely "as a precaution". They are obsessed with restricting everybody and interfering in people's lives, that's what it is.

I will only do click and collect now. I refuse to endure the North Korean queues and all the other nonsense. I have also discovered some excellent smaller local shops as a result of all this, who get much of my business these days and will continue to do so. They sometimes cost a little more...

I don't disapprove of drinking. I disapprove of the anti-social behaviour which unfortunately seems to go hand in hand with it.

An unpopular view but I'd be happy to see a complete alcohol ban on all public transport, nothing to do with the virus though.

Well there's two points there... 1. England has vastly larger population than Scotland 2. The English figures ARE falling Whether point 2 remains the case has yet to be seen. I personally feel the pub re-openings are about a month too soon. And I'm actually all in favour of getting things open...

I'm not suggesting not opening up...far from it....just not sure why everyone's so desperate to go at the first opportunity.

You know what they really want....they want the ability to control their own external borders, and the ability to close the internal borders. Or more specifically, to keep the English out. The Welsh actually let that slip some weeks ago before rowing back.

That wouldn't make the government mandate them closed if recorded performances are ok.
