I'm probably being very stupid here () but don't we have the experience from the 1982 incident with the BA flight?

I'm not sure if it is though, because if the ash gets into plane engines it can stall them and the plane will crash, so IMO I think its probably a good idea if planes aren;t flying into it!!
Agreed aout the great shots :D
Howeever I'm afraid that 37248 doesn't belong to WCRC anymore, the Growler Group owns it so at the moment (and presumably fairly permanently) its based on the GWSR, but is still in West Coast livery!
Hope this helps... :)
I saw 56311, 56312 and 86232 (I think) at Worcester Shrub Hill. Does anyone know where are going (I presume back to Long Marston?) and what time they will be moving?
And does anyone know why the 86 has been brought back from Crewe after it moved north on the 18th March?
Thanks... :D
Has anyone got pictures of this service that we could see??

Does anyone know if anything interesting (freight, ECS moves or railtours) will be going up or down the lickey bank on friday or if anything will be around the Worcester/Cheltenham/Hereford area of the same nature?
Thanks...:D
Oh? I really thought they ran at 140mph!!
Guess I'm wrong.... :-?

Oh hang on others have said that...:lol:
I presume the sheds would be 66573 and 66574 in 'warm store' seeing occasional use with Freightliner but stored because of the influx of 70s coupled with the recession meaning less freight engines are needed....
