Nothing can happen before December 18 when the timetable is due it’s next shake up. But then it will probably be evening and weekends that might change as far as leamington to Nuneaton is concerned.
The long overdue HS2 will lead to a little extra capacity on west coast mainline which will...
The 2 references I’ve seen over the year were a meeting which predates 172’s as it takes about 150’s. It was basically that LM wanted to run the Walsall to Leamington service as a 150. Network Rail said it had to be a 170 due to capacity issues on Coventry Line.
The other reference was in the...
West Midland Rail have already published that they will be running some services as Leamington to Nuneaton. My guess not before December 2018.
Coventry depot might be LNWR or all electric. Leamington might be all diesel depot. The timings from December 17 already suggest this. The will be an...
No it started as a 170 back in 2012/13 when the service was being talked about. I was to maybe been taken over by an electric when such time as Leamington to Coventry was done.
I think it depends on the long turn plans. Will Leamington to Nuneaton be West Midlands Rail or London North Western. If it's the former Leamington depot would be favourite. If the latter then Coventry. It is meant to be 172's in the medium term i.e. December 18 (ex LOR) and also Nuckle 3...
Coventry Station is at the moment to busy to allow this to happen in the peak. It will I'm sure happen at some points though the is talk of the service becoming Leamington (maybe further south) to Walsall via the airport but not New Street. I think we just need to see how it develops.
The Coventry to Nuneaton Shuttle would have more than a 153 if LM had more units/coaches. The Kenilworth will probably be a 153 but might be a 172 as that's what Leamingtons LM train crew depot use.
150's released by Great Western maybe will fit the bill for Kenilworths. Some traction training...
The station is being designed to allow for the extra 100 if required yes the is no confirmation yet but the design work WILL allow room for it!
Sadly sum operators do have more than a health imput. For example with Wrexham and Shropshire debarcal!
The is nothing to say the will not be a...
One of mates told me that some places you have to do announcements so if you have started late because of say tickets or the infernal recorded message which at some points is not to te correct standard you have to get them in before the train stops! else you might get reported!
:(
I will start by pointing one important thing and that is in the rush hour from the centre of Kenilworth it can take 30 minutes+ to get to Coventry/Warwick Parkway/Leamington in the rush hour! Leamington or Coventry stations will be less than 10 minutes by train. Even waiting for 20 Minutes will...
Taking with a friend of mine he remembers regularly working 156's on Snow Hill lines services. Infact he worked all 20 in his time most 3 or 4 times. They were the normal replacement when 150's were unavailable. He had 158's often special on the 20.20 from Snow Hill to Worcester. 158783 was most...
I do think we are getting away from the subject here. Stop the Guard bashing.
The RMT agree the guard needs a place of safety to work from. The area in the train is not. Also with guard operated doors and I think we all agree the DOO is a poor arrangement and we should have a guard on all...
Give LM and few more 172's and let the run to Oxford. Maybe extend the Shrewsbury to New Street service down through Solihull, Leamington, Banbury to Oxford.
After seeing 7752 and 9600 on the Mainline my thought turned to 7760. I Know it is/was for sale but has it been sold? Has it moved or is it still sitting down at Tyseley?
