Later today I'm making a journey from Stevenage to Exeter St Davids. As it happens I've got a trough Advance ticket as this was the cheapest option.
The itinerary tells me to get a Thameslink train to Farringdon, change to the Underground and go to Paddington for the GWR train to Exeter. All...
I’m caught up in disruption travelling from Euston to Coventry Arena. The 12:39 WMR service from COV to CAA has been cancelled.
A mini bus has been provided which several passengers have been unable to board. Naturally I will claim delay repay but I’ve asked two members of staff to endorse my...
I made a journey from Stevenage to London Bridge earlier today.
I could’ve got a direct Thameslink train but I had some business at Kings Cross so I caught a direct train from SVG to KGX before continuing my journey from STP to LBG.
The barrier at the KGX suburban gateline incorrectly retained...
I've been meaning to make a brief visit Brookmans Park for a few weeks and had an opportunity earlier this evening. Unfortunately the journey was not as straightforward as it should have been. I'm posting this here in the hope that GTR and NRE management might read it and reflect on the advice...
Grant Shapps is claiming that the introduction of PAYG journeys at Potters Bar, Radlett and Brookmans Par will make travel cheaper. I hope he's not travelling at the weekend.

RDG has admitted that up to 10,000 passengers given Penalty Fares have been overcharged because the amount charged was based on the full undiscounted fare rather than the appropriate fare. The regulations changed last year.
We've had a few threads on this and it is good to see the matter has...
Just collected a Stevenage - London Zones 1-6 from the LNER TVM at SVG.
In addition to the ticket, which printed fine were two receipts:
A collection receipt
Another coupon headed receipt
Surely these receipts are a complete waste of ticketing stock, they went straight in the bin.
The online...
I know the Derbyshire Wayfarer is a scratch off ticket which can be purchased from certain stations and Derbyshire County Council.
Is it possible to purchase it from stations outside the area (presumably issued on normal orange stock). I'm not worried about bus travel.
The minimum connection time at Dore & Totley is 9 minutes which seems rather excessive for a station with one platform. Sheffield is only 7 minutes.
I'm planning a journey from Bamford to Doncaster on a Saturday in June. If I depart BAM at 17:42 this arrives Sheffield at 18:06 which is not an...
I passed through St Pancras tonight and noticed that the barrier line to the Thameslink platforms is being extended, the space being created by removing what I think was a staff booth.
I've noticed that at peak times the barriers are barely able to cope with the passenger flows so this work...
One of the two escalators from to Platform A is out of use for engineering works, leaving one escalator and a double width fixed stairway.
The one working escalator is in the down direction, leaving everyone to walk up the stairs. Woukdn’t it make more sense to have it working in the up...
A family member travels from Enfield Chase to Moorgate using a Enfield Chse/Town - London Terminals Annual Season Ticket.
GTR's enhanced industry compensation eligibility checker suggests that this ticket is not eligible for the Enhanced Industry Compensation...
i’m travelling on the 10:33 from Paddington to Bristol. I travelled on the same train last Saturday.
Both journeys the train (a HST both times) has been in reverse formation and both weeks no seat reservations have been placed either. There was more than sufficient time to put out the...
TfL have opened up some new underground tunnels at Victoria as part of the station upgrade.
Think along the lines of the new tunnels at Kings Cross St Pancras and you won’t be far wrong. The new tunnel from the ticket hall to the Victoria Line takes you almost to the Cardinal Place entrance
I...
i’ve submitted lots of delay repay claims to GTR over the last few weeks. I’ve not had any rejected (yet) but something strange is going on. For example:
Ticket price £22.00
Ticket price on initial confirmation email £22.00
Ticket price on payment confirmation email £21.60
The same thing has...
Mod Note: Posts #1 - #14 were originally in this thread.
Hull Trains’s Delay Repay scheme is shambolic. They refuse to pay out where a valid combination of tickets is used, claiming that split tickets constitutes separate journeys.
