Why hasn't and why wouldn't Bordesley work as a hub to the south? Like Five Ways is to the West and Jewellery Quarter is to the North?
With all the housing developments and regeneration going on in the area one would think it's only a matter of time before demand increases. Both have midland...
Class 150s were my happy local train memory growing up as a kid, they look beautiful to me... that nice take-me-back happy memory. I use to purposely try and time my trips to University on the 150 Hereford diagram where possible for the happy throw back. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...
My TfWM nTrain season ticket went past the £1000 this year, what gets my goat is the reduced frequency since COVID for the same price... should be paying less if I can't be as flexible as I use to be!
There's a remaining pedestal at Hampstead (Birmingham)
It's screaming for a YouTube short/tiktok style video to this Eurovision song from last year
It's probably likely that GA network out towards Harwich has some remaining pedestals too as quite a few of the stations I went to around...
This seems rather a big downgrade in capacity flexibility?
Can only find one 8 car diagram today...

...sure pre-covid there were more 6+ car 168s to Brum in the peaks, seem to remember a mega 7/8 car 168+165...
That reminds me of when I went to Germany a few years back, Aldi had a delicious bakery section there! Always thought it's a shame they didn't bring that here
Anyone else a fan?
Sainsbury's local is my favourite...
With many near train stations I may sometimes too often find myself popping in for something while out and about or on the way home  Bagel and Giraffe roll are the favourites for me!
I noticed the range in the one on Colmore Row by...
Looks like it's going to get worse...

Does anyone have details of what type of parts the supply chain issue is with?
Seen a lot of non-multi and multi-only stickers...
Earlswood (Earlswood & The Lakes (for Earlswood Lakes))? Population for Blythe Ward was 15,611 in 2021 census, but much of that population will be served by Whitlock's End (Dickens Heath) & Wythall (Tidbury Green).
I've had this with WMR, initially rejected but they'll usually pay out on door release time after appeal, often I will start taking a video on smart phone of my watch and then line up my watch with departure board clock once off train, never had it rejected after showing that. The disappointment...
London Midland has the same phenomena on the 172s in the last few weeks/months of the franchise.
"We are now approaching Whitlock's End, our final destination. Thank you for travelling with London Midland."
changed to
"We are now approaching Whitlock's End, our final destination. Thank you for...
I'm hoping the answer is just ignorance on my behalf.
I've been commuting on the Snow Hill lines daily for around 6 years.
Pretty consistently, during winter - short formations (& cancellations pre-covid when higher frequencies) get incredibly common. 5 coach trains substituted for 2 aren't...
This one at Charring Cross at 40 Years made the papers a few months ago...
Answer was that they'd stopped paying after advertising spend, so imagine case would likely be same here from the advertiser's viewpoint...
Chiltern have a couple videos showing the route (going above the tunnel rather than through it, although not the best quality in showing starting location from New Street):
This one seems good albeit is in reverse (through the tunnel):
I always think on similar lines for when disruption happens on local WMR services. Often is ticket acceptance on NXWM buses with additional rail replacement buses from boundary stations in the NXWM area, within the NXWM area it would've been cheaper to just get the bus in the first places. Will...
Hello, would anyone have any thoughts on these two issues?
I make my journeys with a 52 week Zone 1-4 nTrain season ticket (loaded onto a Swift card purchased via TfWM/Swift website).
1. Sometimes journeys I abandon journeys due to cancellations and take the bus at own expense instead (because...
I wouldn't call the map very reliable. Tactile paving icon missing from many stations where it has been installed, many stations with bus interchange missing the icon. One station missing the parking symbol.
