It is as I suspected then. I did look up the restriction code but wasn't entirely certain whether it covered everything leaving PAD between those times or if the Elizabeth line was treated differently.
Thank you for the confirmation.
Hopefully this will be a straightforward yes or no question.
Tomorrow (27/3) my wife is travelling from Trowbridge to Bushey with a super off peak return. On the return leg she will be travelling back with a friend who will leave at Reading.
My question is this. Are the time restrictions from...
Oh I did. He actually threatened to call the police which obviously with hindsight I should have let him but I was quite happy to be off the bus.
The reply from the company was that they expect high standards from their drivers and would be investigating....
Not quite an accident as such but many years ago travelling home to Bushey on a 258 we were coming into Harrow Weald when the driver suddenly did an emergency stop. Everybody was immediately thrown forwards with standing passengers flung to the floor. I smacked my head on the window and a small...
From where I live in Bushey, at a height of 138m, I can see the control tower at Heathrow Airport and the North Downs from the top of the road and walking about 100m the other way I can see the top of the tower at Luton Airport (with binoculars) and the Chiltern Hills.
Fulfilling a childhood dream and going on top of the Forth Bridge on a sunny afternoon in September. Best £50 (donation to Barnardo's) I've ever spent!
I'm with Railops on this thread BUT, I would imagine I'm the only one who hears the three 'dings' on London Midland 350s I start singing Brian Hyland's - Sealed with a kiss in my head.
Thanks for your reply.
1. Which is what we did and I thank all concerned again.
2. Ok.
3. So far I've only claimed for the New Street - Derby leg, but are you saying that I could potentially claim on the two services that got me to Manchester and back on track? I certainly wouldn't be...
Like my last post I'm hoping this is in the right section.
Here goes. A couple of weeks ago I did a round trip using a number of separate advance tickets. I was travelling with one other adult and two children using a family railcard. For every journey, more than the minimum connection time was...
Thanks for replying. Ideally I'd like to spend no more than about £75 for all three persons. The other two trips worked out at about £45 pounds for everyone.
I hope that gives you something to go on. I am very curious to what suggestions people might have and ticketing options I may have...
Hopefully this is allowed and I'm not taking any liberties, but I was wondering if there were any of you out there that would be willing to come up with a potential itinerary for myself and two children using a family railcard on the 27th of October? The idea is go as far as possible, as cheaply...
How about practically everything by Blyth Power (including the name) and their old gig mates Eastfield?
Video wise I can think of Ego by Elton John and stuff to give the HSE nightmares, Iron Horse by Christie.
Just a quick question. I'm travelling to Lancaster tomorrow on an advance single. On booking I saw that there was one change involved and assumed, without checking, that it would be somewhere north like Milton Keynes or Crewe. No so, the one change is at Euston, on a London Midland service. My...
Thanks for the replies.
It seems then that I was right to trust my instincts and that there are just far too many ticketing permutations for my poor brain to cope with!
Can anybody clear up a query for me please? This morning I had to travel into London Euston with my wife and 9 year old son. I asked at the ticket office of my local station for singles using my railcard.
Now the clerk asked me a few questions as he was trying to sell me the cheapest option...
Hello, first time poster here.
Reading this thread has reminded me of an incident as I was travelling to Lincoln from Watford Junction on a footex in the early Eighties. We had a train of 11 Mk1s, but as it was a midweek game there wasn't that many going, so the football club stewards running...
