Half term mystery tour

Hopefully this is allowed and I'm not taking any liberties,but I was wondering if there were any of you out there that would be willing to come up with a potential itinerary for myself and two children using a family railcard on the 27th of October? The idea is go as far as possible, as cheaply as possible between about 0800 and 2100ish. We would be leaving from and returning to either Bushey, Watford Junction or Stanmore.
Our two previous trips have been Bushey-King's Cross-Doncaster-Leeds-Manchester P-Liverpool LS-Birmingham NS-Watford J.
Bushey-Birmingham NS-Newport-Bristol TM-Portsmouth H-Waterloo-Stanmore.
Gaps between trains varied from 20 minutes to an hour so legs can be stretched and bellies filled.
If anyone is interested in seeing what is possible I would be most grateful.

You might want to set a few more parameters? What's your budget roughly?

To get you started, there are Advance fares to Liverpool for around £42 for you all or Leeds for around £35 for you all leaving between 8 and 9.

I haven't checked for that specific date but the 09:08 Kings Cross to York stopper usually has cheap advance tickets available close to the travel date.

Thanks for replying. Ideally I'd like to spend no more than about £75 for all three persons. The other two trips worked out at about £45 pounds for everyone.
I hope that gives you something to go on. I am very curious to what suggestions people might have and ticketing options I may have overlooked or been completely oblivious to.
