    Delay repay with Seatfrog?

Thank you, I did see that but wasn’t sure if it was included as the leg my Seatfrog upgrade is on hasn’t been delayed.. Well now this train has been delayed enough to have made me miss my connection if the saltburn train is running. Do I claim from TPE as their train is late and would have...

    Delay repay with Seatfrog?

Quick question folks, I have a ticket from Manchester to Middlesbrough. The train from Darlington to Middlesbrough is cancelled which is giving me an hour delay which I can claim delay repay for… Now I’m just curious but can I claim Seatfrog as part of my overall fare? I know the delay itself...

TPE - Travel Irregularity / Penalty Fare

As others have said, this is a very good settlement offer from TPE and would snap that opportunity. As mentioned the 16-17 saver is worth looking into. It’s 50% off fares making the fares equivalent to child rate.

    My misrecollection and Thameslink ticket

The RID does tell if a card has been blocked by the back office for whatever reason. This could be either there’s a bounced outstanding fare or failed the previous inspection 3 times. If it’s active, it just inspects the card and makes a note that it’s been checked Pretty much as you’ve said...

Trains skipping stations when they are less than 5 minutes late

SWR have a T-3/15 or time to 3 policy whatever they call it. If a train is approaching 3-5mins late they will alter it to try and recover. Can happen quite often on the Windsor side sometimes with random stops being missed out. Seems to be mainly suburban services which are altered

    TPE Travel Irregularity Report

You’re best definitely informing your union rep / Manager asap and explain what’s happened as you are responsible for everyone who uses your facilities. One thing I will say is the RST website is awful and I’ve nearly been caught out by it too and seems so buggy.

Onboard staff adding a comment to a digital ticket

There are several. Accept Accept with warning Reject Reject penalty fare issued Reject New ticket sold Excessed There are more but can’t remember off the top of my head. Then you can accept/reject/no clip and then manually add comments. If I’ve ever had to add comments it’s normally to...

ASLEF strike 1st Sept and alternative transport

One of my friends was once told by a TOC during a strike when he tried going down the PRO route was that because they allow tickets to be used on days earlier / later they are fulfilling their rights under the ‘earliest opportunity’ and refused to reimburse a hotel at Gatwick after they...

    Avanti reintroduce slip coaches?

I saw it at Stafford this morning with the leading coach locked out. More than likely a door fault that resulted in the coach having to be locked out of use.

Doors failed to open at Waterloo (1A20)

As it has been said. You do not tell people to use the green egress handles to open doors unless it’s an emergency. There is a risk that a passenger may open the wrong side. Now it may seem unlikely however it has happened in the past. Wrong side releases have occurred also and passengers have...

    Penalty fares vs prosecution

In a nutshell Penalty fares are mainly there for those who make an honest mistake. Example: Not buying a ticket before you board due to time constraints, lost ticket, forgot railcard etc etc.. Prosecution should be there for those who deliberately avoid to pay the fare. Or who have already...

Flybe 2.0 has gone into administration

Source: Flybe Twitter Sad to report that Flybe has gone bust again. All flights cancelled and passengers advised not to go to the airport. Such a shame as I found them pretty decent this time round with such a good bunch of crew! Thoughts are with the staff.

Details taken - bike on peak train. Tfl. Updated: now recieved letter

Whilst you may have breached the ‘condition of carriage’ I am not sure byelaw 2 will apply. I wouldn’t call a bike a dangerous item? If it were me in this situation I’d just explain what happened and the mitigating circumstances (strike reasons).

Train faults that can cancel a service but still allow affected rolling stock to move

Nope. There’s no requirement to have a working toilet. It’s down to how you manage it customer service wise. (For example, extended dwell times at stations with facilities)

Incident on 20:27 Lumo train 28th December

I like the honesty from the Driver.. fair play to them for not leaving them with the platform staff either. Sounds like it was handled well!

Class 701 'Aventra' trains for South Western Railway: progress updates

It will be CD/RA at Waterloo and Reading only. RO2s will only dispatch during degraded working. They will still be at platforms using PA and ensuring the safety of the platform / PTI. But it is correct they won’t be part of the dispatch of 701s
