Astreo - Coin & Card TVM: http://www.parkeon.co.uk/transport-product-astreo.html
Galexeo - Card only TVM: http://www.parkeon.co.uk/transport-product-galexio.html
The print quality from the Astreo machine at my local station, Poulton-le-Fylde, is very sharp. I'd have no concerns with regard...
Myth TGX-150: All ENCTS passes must be placed face down on the card reader, as the machine scans the photo and compares it to the passenger's face to determine validity.
Trent - and soon NCT - use Init E-vend machines. Init are a German firm, but have an office in Nottingham.
The previous machine model used a proprietary card system. The newer, touch-screen version of the machines that have been introduced recently by Trent are ITSO certified.
Somewhat bizarrely, 155342 is currently on 1B33, the NT 1811 Blackpool N to York run, in place of a 158.
This led me to wonder, could this lead to any crewing issues? Are 155s signed for separately, or are they grouped with other Sprinter classes?
Cheers!
Thanks Tom, strange indeed. Looking at the track plans, there's no sidings or yards shown at Cherry Tree - nearest being Whittle at Bamber Bridge and British Fuels on the Down Through Siding at Blackburn. Both have crossovers etc. closer to them then Cherry Tree.
However, I did find this...

Any ideas on this working? I can't find a return journey from Cherry Tree, so where does it disappear to?
Cheers. :D
Might depend on the time of day. I've taken early-ish (7/8am) Scottish services towards London that have been on trolley service with the shop closed between Glasgow and Warrington BQ, then the shop opened once past there. On later journeys the shop operated throughout.
Cumfy are advertising vacancies for drivers for a new depot in Bolton.
I don't know much about the former Maytree routes, but are these tendered routes that have been registered? All their work around Preston is subsidised, as are the majority of their Merseyside routes. With First being...
Lime Street Low Level is currently closed to passengers for refurbishment. Hence, services are not showing on public timetables, but showing on working timetables as a pass.
Would a Warrington to Chester Cheap Day Return, route Any Permitted, be valid via Crewe?
TCBC says yes (map CG), but it's very overdistance and I don't really want to excess! Via Crewe is a backup on split tickets from Blackpool in the event of the six minute connection for the direct service...
M - cash
Q - cheque
W - warrents/vouchers
X - cards
I believe, but not come across, some issuing systems use code W if you split tender on the sale.
Also, the travel agents system Evolvi used to use code W regardless of payment method used but that seems to have been fixed now...
Slightly better at Salwick, it gets a Saturday service as well now!
From the current NRT
Monday-Saturday only
To Colne: 0713, 0813, 1615
To Blackpool South: 0707, 0809, 1209, 1609
Subject to any company dispatch procedure, then yes - it is possible to release doors at one local panel and reset at another.
Certainly on Sprinter and Pacer stock, the Door Key Switch selector needs to be switched off on the first panel after use before being set to on on the second panel...
