Also you have to take into account passengers who travel to Morpeth to catch a train from surrounding towns like Ashington, Bedlington, Newbiggin etc Morpeth, in my opinion, has a poor rail service. Hourly stopper services to and from Metro Centre which often get full. More stopper services...

I personally think it's a Virgin thing, almost all Virgin companies tweet funny things to people. I was reading the other day that Virgin Atlantic had responded to a customer "if all four engines were to fail, we will fall to the ground like a f---ing dart.", don't know if it's genuine or not...

I've noticed that a few HSTs has a different livery than the previous HSTs to get vinyls, some black parts above the drivers window on both sides? Certainly looks better.

Someone mentioned that bendys went to Brighton from Go North East; these were the four that were used on the X66 Centrelink, the rest of the GNE Mercs went to Optare and the Solars on the X40 went to Alpha Recovery, Cramlington for scrap.

Go North East used to have a large fleet of them on routes X40 (now Q3), 58 and X66. All were withdrawn by March, I believe. The X66 was the busiest of them all, Gateshead - MetroCentre. Always had duplicates on Saturdays and Chrismas periods. The route is now operated by Wright StreetLites.

Yes, 4001/2/40/83 won't be refurbished. Speaking of the completion I went past the photo shoot on a passing metro yesterday. :lol:
