    Which buses do you dislike?

My least favourite would be the Optare Solo. They're far too common and bland, and when I went on one a couple of weeks ago we were crawling along the dudl carriageway at around 10mph.with.cars going past at 70! At least I got a treat of a Wilts & Dorset Olympian on the way back. I can't...

    Best places to photgraph buses?

Do you know of any good bus rallies or that kind of thing down in our area? I like vintage buses too!

    Best places to photgraph buses?

That looks a nice little bus company! Do you know if you have to do shopping to get a free bus ride? I like the look of their buses but I'm not a huge fan of supermarkets!

I'd class pre. 2001 as old (ish) . Those look pretty good, I'll hopefully get to Winchester next running day! Thanks

That looks like a good place, I'll go there if I manage to visit Newcastle again! Thanks.

    Best places to photgraph buses?

Does anyone know some decent places to photograph buses in the UK. I have recently become more interested in them, especially the older models. Preferably the place would be in the South of England but any suggestions would be welcome! An ideal place would include a regular frequency of...

    Step access buses

What are some examples of step access buses in the South West and where would be a good place to see them? I always like to see and travel on older buses. Are Dennis Darts/ Plaxton Pointers like these step access or am I mistaken...

    Do we need bus stations?

Are Salisbury and Amesbury Bus Stations to close then? If so does anyone know when? And on topic, I prefer bus stations as they are much easier to find where to catch your bus and sometimes you might not know what side of the road to wait at a bus stop if you are unfamiliar with the area and...

Network SouthEast branding still in daily use?

There's a plaque on the platform which is out of use at Templecombe with Network Southeast branding.

Guards having the rear door on units open in motion

It just looked quite unusual with that door being open, but I do believe it was going into the yard and the inner door was closed, as can be seen in the pictures so was not really dangerous!

Guards having the rear door on units open in motion

I saw this Class 450 at Clapham Junction in May: Edit: it was in motion at the time. Have you forgotten something?! 450548 by Charlie Trains, on Flickr

    Shooting in school in America

It's always shocking when a thing like this happens. I don't know why the US doesn't have stricter gun controls! You rarely hear about similar events in Britain. From the news, Barack Obama seemed very emotional about the whole thing :(

    SWT 158s - Exeter?

I like the ones with the square kind of seats, as seen on the SWT units but the ones with the other type of taller seat with the headrest kind of thing are very uncomfortable.

    SWT 158s - Exeter?

I went on a combo of two Class 158s and one class 159 forming a 7 coach train back in April and I don't think there was anything special going on at the time! I got a video of it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmR0jbOLvzg

If there was a new train, what would you want it to be like ?

NO 444s! Bad units IMO. Not comfortable and I hate the noise they make. The seats seem to be ridiculously narrow, even though the seating is 2+2! The 159s in my area are a lot better, even though they're over 10 years older! I wouldn't mind an Electrostar with better seating though.

156402 Norwich Crown Point - Wolverton

I went on several 156s on Saturday and did think they looked very scruffy with the missing tables. Why were they removed? I always put my ticket and railcard on the seat back tables but obviously couldn't in this case! I like the seat covers on these trains however, I like interiors with a bit...

    Nicest Looking Modern Traction

DMU: Class 159 EMU: Class 455 (SWT) Diesel loco: Class 47 or more modern Class 60 Electric loco: Class 90 (I think 91s are much uglier with a flat end, prefer symmetrical trains!) Not sure why some seem to like 332/333s! Very ugly IMO with a horrible rounded front and narrow lights. I...

Why is the s stock slow

Probably the weight of the S stock is much larger and also, the S stock doesn't stop at as many stations as the 1996 stock so does not need the same acceleration. The S stock the same top speed of 62 mph but I don't think the Jubilee Line trains often reach that speed.
