Well it sounds like they’re confused. You can pass the tests as many times as you like but can only fail them twice. When I did mine, some people were sent who had completed some or failed some previously but the people at the OPC check before you do anything if you need to do any tests.

Passing them doesn’t count as a life lost. You only lose a life for tests you fail to the required standard.

I did the tests with WMT in 2019 and DFFT was included.

I didn’t want spend the money on all that stuff. I found the tests fine without it.

I just used the practice material my TOC sent me. I passed all tests first time.

Normally pay deals will start from an anniversary date. Each company has their own month when the pay talks are due, so normally any 2023-2024 pay would be backdated to whichever month the pay anniversary falls in.

I’m a driver and I’ve said to my friends they could offer me a 100% rise and I’d vote against it with those changes to conditions. I’ll never vote for it.

since February 2021, at least 3 courses a year. Mostly the problem is route learning. New starters have limited traction and routes and at this time of year, not many get released due to annual leave.

XC have had lots of driver training courses ongoing since Covid. There isn’t a lot of OT as there isn’t a rest day agreement in place.

I’m a driver and we’re still expected to wear safety shoes. Haven’t been told they’re not needed anymore. I’ll check with management.

Train crew have to wear safety shoes, brands may differ. I have always found them uncomfortable and have lots of problems with my feet now.
