Hi Cameron,
I'm delighted to say that I passed all tests on the day, and tbh it was a very
tough day both mentally and emotionally. There were 16 people there for the assesment that began at 9.30, the two girls that ran it were really nice and put
our minds at rest and made sure we were...
I got a text message telling me they had emailed me a date for an assesment
which is next wednesday the 30th and you then have to reply to the email
that the date is ok to attend. The next day I recieved an information pack with material to swat up on, so its heads down and into the books for...

you've given us something to go on.

Well thanks for inundating me with all your help and advice,

Already been down the IVA road for the past two years and unfortunately it
didnt work for me and believe me bankruptcy isnt something to be taken lightly as I have investigated all other options and this is my final and only route to unburden myself and family from our finacial hardships. But...
With the current state of the country its not an uncommon thing now and the
thing that puts most people off is the stigma, but as you say it beats being skint and getting hounded by your debtors.
Thanks bestwestern and others but tbh its the best way out of a bad situation
and if I could just land a descent job all would be fine, its like hitting a reset
button on your financial life, start all over again. You do get to have a bank account although its controled by a trustee who allows...
I am currently in the process of making myself bankrupt and if anyone can
tell me will this affect my chances of getting a job as a trainee conductor
with Scotrail, and if by some miracle I get a chance at an assesment or
an interview should I come clean and explain my situation right away...
I havent been on this forum now for a wee while mainly because of
PR**ks like rollwithit who feel the need to try to stop normal people
from airing their honest opinions and views on this forum. I thought
that was the purpose of forums but this diddy is obviously a very
negative person and...
When I say I work hard manual Labour do you think I go around with my head up my Ar** too. you try wiring up a fuse box while day dreaming with
your hands blue from the cold and cant see a thing except for a torch light
and try not to get any from 100 wires mixed up or the house could go on...
Let me get something straight here, I never said being a train driver was an easy job. I can totally appreciate the long months of training and long hours
at the helm what I meant was that its not as physically demanding and punishing as the job I do now. And given half a chance at working for...
I know what your talking about but more hours and less money is not hard, working six days a week on building sites up to your armpits in mud and ****
in all weather and and all times of year sometimes freezing for months on end,
leaving home at 7 am returning at 7 pm if your lucky hardly...
well done mate i've been trying for two years now but havent givin up,
dont ever forget how lucky and privelaged you are to land this position as
what i've heard many old school drivers get very complacent and believe
its their god given right to have this job and treat it with distain and...
Just been told by Scotrail of vacancy withdrawn for role of conducter after over
three months sitting at "awaiting shortlisting". Yet another dreadful performance
from Scotrail HR, somebody has to start kicking some arses in there and get them to stop treating us, real people, like cattle...
