London to Ryde hovercraft has 2 routes via Barnham and route; Hovertravel..
Does that mean that route Barnham is not valid on the hovercraft without a change of route excess? :?
Spotted some ticket blanks on ebay.
I know the transfer/ sale of tickets is prohibited but what about current blank stock and if not should the sale of such stock be prohibited?
Surely they could be used to make forgeries?
On Monday I shall be traveling up to York for a few days and having done absolutely nothing up there in the way of lines apart from passing through on the ECML to Scotland I am not sure whether to choose the North Country Rover or the North East Rover.
I will have 4 days (Tue - fri) and on the...
I stopped off at Gobowen the other day whilst on a West Midlands Day Ranger and noticed that the ticket office is run by a local travel agency (I think). I also now know that Gobowen is not unique in this, but was wondering what the reasons were for this type of arrangement?
Hopefully a quick one.
LDB says this train is cancelled and I phoned up SWT and spoke to a very helpful gentleman who said it had completely disappeard from his end, he asked his supervisor who didn't know and then spent some time in the back office trying to find out, then came back and...
For quite some time I would see a couple of Virgin mark 2's at Eastleigh works when going down to Portsmouth but a few weeks ago they disappeared.
Does anyone know where they went?
Quick question.
I'm going to be in Houslow later (by Hounslow Central) and will be comming back late, my plan was to get the bus to Surbiton and catch the 01:35 back to Winchester but I realised on my way up that is is set down only at Surbiton, what are my chances of getting that train at...
I haven't looked at every TOC'S mobile site but SWT's new one is relly rather good, I only wish they also gave geographic phone numbers as well as 0800/ 0870 etc.
This was brought about after their review of last Junes problems.
Anyway the address is...
What is the intention with this ticket?
Is that the passenger would go from Earls Court to Paddington
Or for the Passenger to go straight from Earls Court to Ealing Broadway?
Or could you go via Shepherd's Bush on the Central line?
Bearing in mind it is about a 1/3 cheaper than a route; +any...
Fiddling around with the wayback machine I found this, when did they stop passengers using advance tickets from travelling on the next service if the train was overcrowded?
NRE (archived)
Can anyone give me some clues as to how this may be dealt with?

Take a Winchester to Wimbledon route London not und for example could you in theory take a train to London that calls at Wimbledon break your journey there and then continue to London before going back to Wimbledon and thus completing your journey there?
Just a thought, with the suspention of the hovercraft Weightlink are accepting Hovertravel tickets on the cats are tickets to Ryde Hoverport strictly valid to Portsmouth stations or just Portsmouth and Southsea?
It's a fairly moot point as I doubt anyone would complain particularly now if you...
Forgot about this find.
As spotted in the Easyjet in flight magazine (Oct) if traveling with Gatwick Express when you reach 15 you need to buy an adult ticket but on the other hand if you travel with FCC you need to buy one at 14.
There are also special fares for Easyjet passengers (or maybe...
One of my madder ideas, I have the opportunity to do some work in Lerwick on the 15th Dec and am looking for a reasonably priced way of getting there.
I have a disabled railcard am flexible and would need to spend the night of the 15th on the island - not that it makes much diffidence for a...
Continuing the semi-recent theme of wheelchairs we now have an electric scooter that is not allowed on the train.
From the Hampshire Chronicle
What is the reason for the size restriction (obviously it need to actually fit through the doors and not block the isle) and the discrepancy...
