To be fair to Chiltern they've put on multiple extras, got the hauled sets out etc. But a Wembley crowd from one of their stations (near enough) all wanting to board their trains home is pretty much impossible unless they'd cancelled all their services and had the fleet lined up waiting to go...

I'm quite surprised at some of the train lengths showing on RTT for evening peak out of MYB - the 1745 to Oxford only being 3 carriages sounds very cosy . 1715 - 1745 - 1815 - 1845 are 165 operated. Quite the downgrade for stations like Bicester Village from pre-COVID

+1 to this. I have the same from Aylesbury/Bicester and actually a couple of times my plans have changed and either I've gone back to a different station or the next day even which is easy to do when you don't already have a ticket! I've gotten into the habit now of buying each one seperately...

Chiltern have said they'll have a severely reduced service too. When it happened at Christmas it was (also?) an issue with depot staff being able to prep enough units for service

They haven't run on ASLEF strike days in the past either, I assume that leaves too few drivers to run a viable service I have to get to Heathrow so have booked a cab!

Exactly that - plenty of people heading for early shifts. I lived in Kingston many years ago and just didn't bother with the X26 for my early shift as you couldn't board it (single decker back in those days)
