    Anyone here work for Eurostar?

I've applied for the Maintainer Engineer role late last year. I wanted to know if anyone knew about their response times or what their recruitment process involves? There vacancies have no expiry date. They have no direct contact for recruitment apart from an email address I've got from the...

Network Rail Interview, Overhead Line Tech

You sound clued up, do you work on OLE? I wonder if it’s a department worth applying to. I’ve been on NWR since 2015 (Pway 2 years and S&T almost a year now)

    Alternatives to Train Driving

This is something I considered early in my working life but didn’t follow through when I discovered the price for training. Really starting to give it ago if I know the work is out there. Sounds like something good to do on a along side a main job?

Network Rail Interview, Overhead Line Tech

Form C* Good job getting the opportunity to work on Overhead lines. That’s A department I wouldn’t mind going to (been on pway 3 years and S+T almost one year now) From my experience with NWR operative interviews you’ll be asked basic scenario based questions which can be thought of on the...

GWR Assessment Centre - Trainee Train Driver

If you pass all the stages of a trainee train driver assessment apart from the DMI and MMI then go to apply for another TOC, do you skip all the stages and go straight through to the DMI & MMI for the duration your results are held for?

    Southern drivers course 2019

Interesting, obviously the most serious SOL a driver could have is a SPAD I’m assuming. What are the most common SOLs do you know drivers have? And 24 weeks notice is crazy. What 357 said is probably the most efficient way to escape.

    Southern drivers course 2019

24 weeks notice is a bloody long time, is that the same amount of notice time with other TOCs? And what do you mean by SOL?

    GTR Thameslink Drivers

I was on a Thameslink service to Bedford, the driver made an announcement regarding the inter changes passengers can make at London Bridge and then repeated the message in French? And it wasn’t a recorded voice. Are drivers expected to know French now?

VTWC Euston Qualified Driver Talent Pool Open

What is considered missing a station? Stopping too far from the platform or just completely driving it pass the station at line speed? Feel bad for your mate, I do feel VT is probably one of the most difficult TOC’s to become a driver for.

Nursing to train driving, career change, advice please...

Jesus, how can you be so pessimistic. Also just because train driving is boring to you doesn’t mean it will to everyone else.

    First Group Trainee Train Drivers

That’s good to know then, what about my location? ‘60 minutes of the job location based on normal traffic conditions I’m in the same position. I am definitely outside the 60 minute rule during rush hour so I’m going to have to skip applying to this this vacancy

    First Group Trainee Train Drivers

I would apply for this but I don’t think I should as my nearest GWT station from where I live is Paddington. It would take me 55 minutes minimum to get to and from there. I think my location would put me at an disadvantage regardless of how well I would do in the application process plus...

Operative here. If you’ve been offered the job don’t worry about the inconsistent statuses on the job updates, nothing to worry about.
