I'm half way through at Crewe IBIS today. I've been informed I don't have to do all of the tests, I've had to do group bordon and now have a 90 minute wait for the fault finding one, which was an optional trial of the test which I did when I sat for Chiltern. Unsure if any of my next stage stuff...

I can only speak for myself, but I was really pressed for time, so I didn't print them off and used a phone to countdown timer myself against the given tasks. I did it a couple of times without being able to go back and mark, but felt confident enough at that time.

Got my email yesterday, I've passed VSE (really thought I'd fluffed it) and have to attend more tests at Crewe on 30th August - short notice date but my roster clerk has been very understanding and managed to rework things around having that day off.

Hi all, haven't been in since the farce of Chiltern Banbury Depot drivers then mainline drivers. I've also gone for these, early Friday morning I completed the tests due to holiday commitments without PC or guaranteed internet access and not wanting to do them with the kids around in the day...

I know personally of 4 CR employees, including myself, who were short-listed for depot driving from last year - and none of us have got through to getting a position here after having interviews, so I don't think the suspicion or implication of favouritism stands up.

09:30 for me today, due to roster hiccup I am actually having to do a full shift at work and have the interview in some down time. Fingers crossed all, as said above, a lot of people for not many jobs. The fact the jobs are far away, I think my personal circumstances may well work against me.

The tests themselves aren't seen in their constituent parts I think, so if you fail ANY part of Stage 1 that means you need to re-sit ALL Stage 1 tests, and the same for Stage 2 - I guess this is to make the administration of results easier, as you have 2 pass or fail marks, rather than 8 or 9...
