And most people travelling will be avoiding all of those things, but it is the fashion to try and segregate and denigrate various sections of society for anything - the kind of thing that distracts the populace from attacking those in charge who are actually causing most of the issues we should...
It is very odd and frustrating a little, when I don't require to do any Stage 2 tests but I think some people who did Stage 1 on the same day (30th August) have received their dates for Stage 2 tests.
I called and spoke to Jo at The OPC just now. She is chasing FL to find out why they are yet to contact me to give me an interview date - small comfort as it just means I still have no real answer as to when it will be and time continues to march on.
There really is nothing worse than anybody having fun, especially at rare celebration events such as this. The issues regarding their behaviour when intoxicated has little to do with the quantity required and everything to do with their behaviour when they reach that point - but that's an issue...
Does anybody have a contact number or email for someone at either the OPC or Freightliner they could PM me. I have contacted the OPC admin address, as it is all I have, as I have been waiting for 3 weeks to receive a date for the DMI. I've used all my patience up, but I am really feeling nervous...
That seems logical enough, myself I only required to do 2 out of 5 from Stage 1 and none of the tests or MMI in Stage 2, I was hoping that may be the case for myself - we shall see how it all comes out I guess but waiting is an absolute killjoy.
Yesterday by chance whilst at work I bumped into another raiwayman who has done his medical and received his conditional offer for Birmingham. That does wonders for one's confidence about not getting stuffed in a pool when I haven't even done the DMI yet. I'm finding it increasingly difficult to...
I've emailed the OPC this morning as the 3 weeks is almost up for me to hear from Freightliner directly - it's a fine line to tread between appearing concerned/keen or impatient :-)
Good luck to everyone who is sitting Stage 2 tests this week.
It was the invite to stage 2, or the wording that I was querying regards whether you have to do any of the stage 2 stuff. This is the wording of my email, there's a bit more after but no mention of stage 2 at all in the whole email:
"Thank you for your application for Freightliner. We would...
It's not directly the question you ask, but I've done Stage 2 and MMI 2.5 years ago and after being successful at the 2 required parts of stage 1 I've been e-mailed to say I'm through to line manager interview and am awaiting a date for the interview, rather than having an invite to stage 2...
Yes, I was a guard for 16 years and have seen many shapes and sizes at either end of the train over the years. You're correct that nothing beyond lip service is really used to promote healthy living and a healthy lifestyle, despite the evidential effect careers such as these have on someone's...
Yes Cheggers, it is classed as overweight but being as there's only three options for physical exercise it really is a catch all that often fails - such as the "healthy" daily calorie intake. I did a charity cycle ride around a lot of the Welsh coast last year and we had a daily intake in excess...
It has now been just over 2 weeks since I got my email to say I'm through to the DMI stage pending a date. I'm wondering at what point do I contact Freightliner or the OPC to chase up a date?
I want to appear keen because I am, but also don't want to seem impatient either. Any advice?
I'm always a curious so and so, so I went and checked out Bruno's stats for his first fight against Tyson - He was 6ft3in, 228lbs (16st 5) aged 28 which gives him a BMI of 28.6 - this purely because I thought the story of the military doctor saying Bruno was BMI 40 sounded too far fetched. FYI...
Good to see so many people getting their dates having passed stage 1, they do seem to do emails in large batches. I've not heard anything yet, I applied for Birmingham and was told I don't need to sit Stage 2 at all (thanks Chiltern) and am just awaiting a DMI.
It's a grueller from what I recall, don't pad answers out or bull****, cos they're searching for weaknesses. There's no wrong examples you can provide, but if you let them lead you down bull**** avenue it'll show under pressure.
Don't let them rush you, try and dictate the pace and be measured...
Sorry, I left the info out in my excitement, I have applied for Birmingham and have heard I'm in for line managers interview - I believe the Stage 2 I sat for Chiltern in 2016 is still valid, hence why I only did 2 out of 5 for the Stage 1 tests (the DFFT didn't exist properly in 2016).
All the...
It seems that there's suddenly a shedload (yes I did intend that pun for those who get it) of emails.
I've just received mine saying that I'm being put forward for the line manager interview and I'll be contacted directly by Freightliner. Obviously my stage 2 from Chiltern is still good to go...
I'm the same except it was the 30th, I'm constantly replaying and niggling over it. Whilst I'd not be happy to fail I'd rather have an answer than this waiting.
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
