Eastenders - this is the most depressing pile of drivel on the screen. Even the theme tune gets me down. How anyone can watch it is beyond me.
XFactor - 10 minutes of programme 2 hours of padding.
Deal or No Deal - Sorry Noel but its boring!
Big Brother
And anything with the word "celebrity"...
If it was a newly refurbished one it was probably because the blind had jammed halfway as someone was changing it.
There is currently an issue with 153 and 156 blinds and the reliabilty of the "new improved" winding handles.
Worked one the other day that was stuck at Stoke on Trent.
Ken Dodd is brilliant! Seen him a few times too.
Also like Billy Connolly and from more contemporary lot like David Mitchell, Milton Jones, Bill Bailey.
On many occassions a 158 has been used instead of a 156 on the Grimsby route. If there has been a unit swap or if something has gone wrong leaving stock in the wrong place then this can happen. The majority of the trains working this are 153's, althhough a 156 is used on the 1723...
I could do with one of those for the back cab. Nothing worse than suddenly needi to go and finding the toilet on the train is blocked, or are greeted by a huge floating log. Can't wait for tbe PNB....Open the bag and do a wee.
I'm always amazed at the amount of people whizzing past at over 100. Just been to the south of the country round Southhampton and they really go for it about on that M3.
Well said mate, I am fed up with the portrayal of the brummy accent on TV usually as black country and usually as a metaphor for being "thick". . and if I had a pound for each time someone tried to do an impersonation of me and came out with "yam yam" etc I would be rich. Most annoying.
I wouldn't believe a word that lot say! Who can actually remember the then shadow transport secretary John Prescott in 1997 completely opposing the Tory plans for privatise the railways whilst in the safety of opposition. Blair gets in and NOTHING is done - no re-nationalisation as we were led...
I would like to meet the following. Preferably travelling together by train on a dogbox. . . Michael Winner, Jeremy Clarkson, Sir Roy McNaulty, Professor Robert Winston and Moria Stewart.
I have one of these cards for my main current account and I asked in the bank why i'd been given an electron card and I was told it wasn't it was just for electronic use only..... Have had these on the train and my avantix has accepted them through chip and pin no problem, and have also had them...
I spent many years working these. Lovely units .. Nice big cabs on /1 units, nice spacious carriages, a crew door separated from the main vestibule by an area with the door controls in. (nice not to have passengers standing in front of the panel). Remember when I was very young travelling on...
The problem with services on this line as already pointed out well by Failed Unit is that any connections to the midlands from the Grimsby direction and towards Grimsby via Newark Northgate coming back from London in the afternoon are very poor. This has got worse since the East Coast timetable...
I live in some flats and while some of the neighbours are ok and will have a chat, there are some that I have said hello to in the car park or on the stairs and I've either been blanked totally or looked at like I've been scarped off the bottom of someones shoe then ignrored. The nice people who...
