Looks like a fair long journey for a 387. If they are going to do a long distance service like that, wouldn't they need to upgrade the seats and put first class (As they don't have a first class area at the moment).
Yeah but couldn't they at least put an effort to put some 2+2 seating on these new trains though? Feel very uncomfortable and awkward when i sit on those tube style seats when packed.
Correct me if i'm wrong about this, but weren't the 710s originally going to have a mixture of 2+2 seating/longitudinal seating arrangement like the 345s?
Seriously. They're not really that bad tbf, and yes they may be a bit scruffy at the moment but is it really that hard to do? I mean GWR and the wales franchise are going to receive some 769s (AKA 319s) and northern receiving more 319s for use until the mid or early 2020s.
How about spending some of that money on improving the rubbish service we currently have thanks to shameslink new timetable instead of throwing away money to replace modern electrostars that are still very reliable? Jeez, why are all of these TOC companies (or DaFT) so fascinated with throwing...
Well it is though. People are getting really stressed (and also getting to school/college/work late) just because of their appalling services and constantly having to change for another service just because of GTR mess.
