    Christmas Bridge Replacement at Dewsbury

Apparently it's not a new bridge but a re-furbished one from down south. ;-)

Dewsbury Change to LED signal heads

Does any of this explain why the stopper out of Leeds is regularly shown as being up to 7 mins late approaching Dewsbury, giving unwary passengers the idea they have time to nip to the loo or go for a very swift half, only for the train to trundle in smack on time?

    All Line Rover Report

"I am not sure that my ticket was actually valid on the South Eastern High Speed services but the guard on 395028 “Laura Trott” wasn’t bothered and I was soon racing along HS1 towards Ashford." Your ticket was indeed valid. I got quite addicted to HS1 with mine.

Northern introduce pre-Christmas loco hauled services

Would it not make more sense to run these loco hauls on less well used lines and use the freed up units to strengthen these packed services. That would keep the cranks away from the shoppers/whatever. A lesson not learned from Le Tour?

Wakefield Kirkgate refurb - any recent pictures?

But surely they will soon have to extend the platforms northwards anyway, so that I don't have to walk so far to the first class carriages. At the moment it is practically a taxi ride away from the station building

    Flowery Field

Similarly, in the good ol' US of A, where the term is meaningless and all radio stations have a four letter station ident starting with W, there really is W.A.N.K. FM.
