This runs empty from Doncaster Carr depot, so I assume it ran to Leeds the same way (not via Wakefield) meaning no direct turning of the set by going in one way and out the other.
As far as I am aware closed on Sundays, outside of diversions (either whole line to cover for ECML or sometimes if Scunthorpe shut and freight being diverted through Brigg and Gainsborough). My street backs on to it near Finningley
Correct, but my point is more that my lad was lineside of the yellow line at that point, and no communication or checking to either clear for despatch or allow passengers to board
Mods, apologies if in wrong place, feel free to move as relevant.
My eldest son (16) was getting a train from Doncaster to Adwick yesterday to meet me. I won't identify which, all I will say is that it was a Sheffield to Adwick service and hence using a through platform (4) as against the...
Just looked (after prompting by my son) and can see one of the Doncaster circuits is a 333 this morning and at lunchtime a second one is swapped on. As a commuter on that line I am pleased, but I don't envy those one the peak Skipton services if only 3.
Agree with this. As a regular on the 728 out of Doncaster I am looking forward to 4 cars coming and slightly more room by Leeds, although will miss the 2 plus 2 seats and table.
The first Doncaster at 558 then goes onto an ilkley meaning easy rotation and route knowledge for Donny crews.
Looks like this is what the passengers would have been on, into London for just after 9.

Thanks for sharing. Quite a basic question from me, do I read this correctly that you don't need GCSE English for this as you will have to pass a level 2 Maths and English assessment? Currently wrong side of 50, but always have that thought of what if..... LNER have advertised a few times for...
Just seen it pass through Doncaster on its way north. The first class driving vehicle has Darlington wrapped along it, similar to others and further reference to S&DR 200.
When you look on real time trains it looks like the cross country ones are passing on the old road side (3 and no-platform) as against 1 and 2 for EMR. I assume this means the EMR are joining the Derby line North of the station as against Cross Country joining south of the station (clay cross...
I would guess the issue isn't route knowledge (given the late night return via "the old road"). I would assume the issue is capacity at the North of Sheffield station, especially as some of the services will then be crossing the junction just north of the station. Looks at certain times that...
I would imagine that engineering works at various points on the east coast mainline will cause potential issues. Given that normally if there are blockades, south of Newcastle there go to position is to just cover the North end of the route and vice versa in the Autumn when engineering...
I travel regularly between Doncaster and Leeds. I assume this means if I am booked on the northern and it is cancelled I can then get the LNER as against having to wait an hour for the next northern?
I believe this weekend is the third and last weekend of diversions that way.
I believe not all the train is platformed at Harrogate (rear 7 only?) which may explain why for 10 cars it is just the rear set in use.
I think the issue is North of Retford (looking also at the LNER website). 1D01 has terminated and gone back South with the LUMO 1S91 being front of the queue when the juice comes back, 50p in the meter anyone.
Platform 4 in entirety is long enough to hold more than 1 train (hence 4a and 4b). I have arrived in 4a on a Northern from Saltburn (to Bishop Auckland) which then had an LNER come around it into 4B to depart first. IN the instance you reference, there is then a northern service to follow from...
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
