Equally, also couldn't resist looking. When you look at tomorrow, the Manchester service should form off the 08.24 arrival into Euston (platform 7 today). This was 390128 (the duplicate) which left at 08:40 to Edinburgh. This leaves 390153 to be the one running to Manchester, Birmingham and...
I would second that, I think it is just before the line curves around for Sleights. If you look at River crossings of the Esk on wikipedia, bridge 51 is referenced as the penultimate bridge prior to the rad bridge at Sleights.
I have had both sides.
Last year was travelling from Doncaster with east coast mainline disruption to change to TPE at Northallerton. Previous train was late (as well as mine) but guard had no problems with me travelling on the earlier train.
Last week however, turned up for a London train at...
I assume this freight service, went through Carlisle on time but then lost 150 minutes just after (I assume at the top of the S&C) https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:H16189/2024-07-23/detailed
I would suspect crew being the issue. When you at the driver depot on RUK forums, only London sign via Cambridge and I would suspect by 18:00 and probably earlier the last London driver is heading Northbound to be able to return south. Where as going South there will be more options, hence the...
My wife as affected by this (seems to have been around 15:50 when it started) as she was returning from Leeds. As far as I am aware it was a vulnerable person. Looks like services may now be returning to normal.
Looking at this, you may have been unlucky at doncaster. Normally the Leeds train is from platform 8 and takes the avoiding line to pick up the fast line further south of doncaster.
It was today on platform 1 and routed out a couple of minutes In front of you, normally the routing being the...
This is a good shout. Using Doncaster, most trains are showing nothing for next Sunday (including GC) - but Hull Trains seems to be OK. Selby might also be a suggestion if reasonable, prior to others joining at Doncaster then. Equally, works as well for later in the day.
Yes - they are painted bright yellow. I commute to Leeds so knew it had been done, but never the reason why. I would assume Shipley (curvature) being one of the main reasons.
Bentley (Yorks), in South Yorkshire is similar for this. The car park is on the Leeds bound side, so I impacts those heading to Doncaster and Sheffield. Only way across if level crossing, which can be held down for LNER trains and also freight. Plenty drive to Adwick as it can be quicker.
We are aware of an issue with emails from the Forum to Microsoft-based email accounts (hotmail/outlook/live.com email addresses). This is being looked into currently, thanks for your patience meanwhile.
