    Airbus controls are unsafe

Ahh , a sort of ' servo power steering' and 'servo power assisted braking' , used in cars, buses, lorries etc of all sorts for last 50 years, but for aircraft. Not exactly that high in technology to give some 'feedback' to the pilot.

    Disabled railcard question

My understanding is that a question along the lines of ' Do you need any assistance at all with your journey' is as far any questions of disabilty should go.

Just how much does a redundant diesel locomotive cost to buy?

Eeeehhh ! must try that one on the second hand car dealer next time!! That is scrap dealer price. Why not try finding out how much loco's have been fetching in the EWS tenders lately, about the only seller of 'scrap' loco's at the moment..

Just how much does a redundant diesel locomotive cost to buy?

Scrap value typically £20,000 - £30,000.. but like an old car , its worth what someone will pay, even for scrap.

Try http://www.parrypeoplemovers.com/ From memory , the transmission is a simple hydraulic fluid drive take-off from a flywheel. EDIT From http://www.parrypeoplemovers.com/PPM-chassis-spec.htm QUOTE Linde hydrostatics through final drive gearbox, single axle drive

    lost images

Right , its what I thought, its UDF format ( or packet writing) and its typical for a cockup that happens when adding more and more files. You've learned the hard way NOT to save CDRWs that way, you would be advised to leave it alone. Don't try saving any more pics to the CDRW , it will make...

    lost images

is it a multisession CDR , or is it a CDRW? If the former you may need to 'close' the session. If the latter , did you use packet writing UDF file system. if that doesnt make sense, what did you use to burn the disc? What to do next - View the drive in windows explorer , right click on it and...

Challenges for Developing Dual Mode Locos

I think it could be done in two boxes on wheels , ie BO-BO +BO-BO as per some american stuff, that would reduce the axle loading to something very acceptable , and keep the power up at required levels, also increasing the tractive effort if it was all axles powered,... but the big question is ...

All Line Rover and Ticket Barriers

This is because every failure is logged and afterwards checked by IT personel to see if the programming needs changing. If you don't put it in and fail, then IT say 'No failures, No changes'. Nearly the only way to get them added is to let them fail regularly.

Jamie Bulger killer back in jail

Does it not seem strange to anyone other than me that the 'public' can now find out ( thru Sarah Paynes campaign) personal details of anyone convicted of looking at a 'mucky picture' on a computer , yet the 'State' contrives to keep the identity of a convicted child killer secret. I don't at...
