Can a TOC block standalone seat reservations? I've also done dummy bookings for this train on a couple of sites which successfully reserves a seat, but not a standalone reservation via the TPE website.
There is no 'doubling back issue', Micklefield is a member of Leeds group and doubling back within a group for interchange purposes is fine. < This is incorrect as it is the destination station in this case.
If Leeds win their FA Cup quarter final then there'll be many more from Yorkshire using the ECML to get to Wembley that weekend, though if on the Saturday it would probably be a teatime kick-off and not too many would book to travel at 8pm given the possibility of extra time.
