On the fast lines to the South of Wymington the auto-transformer wires have been installed.
Also works for the re-signalling are proceeding with new platforms and cabinets being installed.
Will post photos when there's more to show.
Yesterday when travelling from Bedford I noticed a new substation and four wiring assemblies adjacent to the fast lines to the south of Ford End Road bridge. The substation looked very similar to the one recently installed in Wymington.
Quick update from Wymington, North Bedfordshire.

Just to let everyone know we've been notified there will be a delivery of the substation to the Wymington works site on Sunday 19th May. We have been notified because a temporary road closure will be in operation to allow crane access to the site.
Indeed! :D But have you seen the price differential between BDM and WEL tickets. o_O
Quick check - peak Travelcard from BDM £51.60, from WEL - £108.
WTF! <(
Problem with option 1 is that new bridges would have to be built over the A6 for access to the site. That adds significant cost. Option 2 does not have those issues and also is nearer to Oakley and Clapham for walking / cycling commuters.
What ever happens we need a station between Bedford and...
Just seen the CP6 announcement and was reading the details on ECML and MML https://cdn.networkrail.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Route-Strategic-Plan-London-North-Eastern-and-East-Midlands.pdf
Buried in it on page 36:
Had a look at the works on the MML to the West and North West of Wymington, North Befordshire earlier this week.
Some new TTCs on the fast lines
Preparation works to take local distribution power lines which run over the MML underground and route via a foot tunnel
New cabling along side the...
The fourth track reinstatement around Wymington, North Bedfordshire is now one continuous piece of track to the Souldrop tunnel North entrance.
Ballast is not yet complete but it is good to see the fourth track.
Presumably it will be located somewhere near here where the power lines cross the MML.
Confirmed... found the planning application for the substation which has the location and the plans.

I occasionally travel to London from Bedford to Aldgate using:
Paper Carnet singles from Bedford to Farringdon
Oyster PAYG from Farringdon to Aldgate
Farringdon has Oyster readers when you switch from the Thameslink platform to the Underground platform.
Now, I would like to have the option...
