    Southeastern Snow Disruption - 11/12

Just thinking about coming days. With temperatures unlikely to get above freezing for much of the week, and only marginally above if they do, seems to me that there is a pretty decent chance of service being ruined until Sunday afternoon - effectively nothing today, strikes Tues & Weds, Thurs...

    Southeastern Snow Disruption - 11/12

Seems that the signal failure at Tunbridge Wells which started yesterday afternoon (3pm ish) still hasn't been fixed - anyone have any ideas why it's taking so long? Seems very unusual.

    Southeastern Snow Disruption - 11/12

I would not bank on this being the case at all. Even if the strike were to be called off, it is likely far too late to adjust timetables/diagrams/rosters to run anything like a normal service.

Tell me how many people in the private sector are getting pay rises in line with inflation. Not many! Most would be thankful to get 4%.

East Croydon route knowledge for Southeastern drivers and vice-versa?

SE have done this relatively recently I believe. It is usually Hastings services via Redhill, Kent Coast via Maidstone East or Otford, however.

    Class 375 Plug Sockets

I travelled on a 375/9 yesterday evening, and noticed that plug sockets (a 3-pin plug, and 2x USB ports) had been fitted next to every seat. Foolishly I forgot to take a picture. Is this new, and part of a broader retrofit? Travelling on SE daily I’ve never noticed this before on any of the 375s.

Weather disruption Sunday 17th July and following few days

Having fared relatively well thus far, Southeastern appears to have entirely fallen apart this afternoon - incidents on all their routes, even HS 1.

Could anyone explain what the descriptions in platforms 1 & 3 at Orpington this evening mean? (*CUT & TIII) Thanks in advance!

I have a question about class 465 trains.

This, from 2009, suggests that "The Class 465 Hitachi IGBT based traction equipment, has been developed from technology used on Metro trains in Japan and China and has been designed to mirror the space envelope and weight characteristics of the original, obsolete system"...
