First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

Any e200 is better tban a streetlite. I also don't rate the Eclipse or Pulsar. Even when high specced by First, they feel cheap and poorly designed. Agree with you ev ratings though. It will be interesting to see how well Yutongs age.

First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

Wright have always made cheap, awful rattly buses...the Streetlite being one of the worse buses ever made. Yutong buses may have a few annoying issues, like the poorly positioned screens on single decks, but they feel much better made when you sit on one. Streetlites feel like they split apart...

Stagecoach Depots with Different Length Enviro 200s

Exeter seem to have lots of different versions, even more with the scottish influx.

Stagecoach South West - Fleet News & Discussion

We want deckers in Exeter too since many of ours were stolen for the new college contracts, leaving singles running full and standing.

    Worcestershire Parkway - New Town

Does anyone know why the Plymouth trains stop northbound only and the Manchester trains stop southbound only. Why can't both stop both ways. I assumed it was XC trying to make splitting tickets at Parkway more difficult for passengers given splitting at Worcester Parkway can save a fortune.

First South West (Kernow & Buses of Somerset)

Dartline struggle to reliably provide the rostered buses for Colyton and the PR3, they are really not the best and their drivers also leave a bit to be desired. It will be interesting to see how they handle the 66, which, lets face it, Stagecoach have hardly covered themselves in glory running.

100% agree about that Go South Coast management would be ideal. There also needs ot be some accountability at Cornwall Council as theuir ridiculous meddlling and hairbraiined attempts at imrproving services has done the exact opposite and created a worse monopoly than Western National was. You...

Feels somewhat corrupt that the council appears to have gone direct to Go Ahead. Why not Stagecoach, unless they said no. Overall, yet another clear 'success' of all the money Cornwall Council has wasted so far.

Stagecoach South West - Fleet News & Discussion

Stagecoach have a shortage of deckers due to all the college and school contracts they won. The 1 to Cullompton has gone mostly single with overcrowding as a result. On Dartline, this morning the Coly9, normally one of their three white scania omnideckers, was an 09 plate ex-Metrobus...

Stagecoach South West - Fleet News & Discussion

True but Dartline dont have a wealth of reliable deckers or long singles. I guess PCB will probably supply them. The 66 going to Dartline also finally breaks properly the Exeter to Bude service, although the split at Oke already did too. Be interesting to see if the 6 will wait for the often...

Maybe the 6A win is the reason for the Enviro 200s running on the PR3 as they may as well use them until the 6A starts. Maybe they also enable the usual Solos to be maintained. Wonder if Exeter will see even more TfC buses lol.

Crewkerne station to close from 28th July (Re-opening 11th August)

So yesterday half the trains through to Exeter were short formed, today almost all are. Added to the fact that they still can't run the trains on time, despite having so much unneeded extra time en-route. When will something be done about the shocking punctuality (not speed restriction or even...

    GWR Delay Repay Oddity

I believe the return portion of a super off peak return from Blackwater to Cathays with a 16-25 railcard. No delay repay claimed on the outbound journey. Return journey exactly 120 mins late due to GWR curtailing all trains at Bristol Parkway then Swindon, to control the number of trains into...

    GWR Delay Repay Oddity

A friend of mine was delayed 120 minutes on GWR and so filed delay repay and the 2hour delay was approved, but the email says that they will only be refunding £53.59 on a £62.70 ticket, bought on the GWR app so no fees involved. Does anyone have any clue why GWR wouldn't refund 100%? The ticket...

Crewkerne station to close from 28th July (Re-opening 11th August)

They have barely managed a full service of all timetabled services with correct length trains any day during the temp timetable so far, so just running the trains as scheduled would be a start. Particularly as they still dont seem to have reliably resolved the numerous signalling problems the...
