I've been let off 8 car slamdoors at Bedhampton onto the ramp many times before now, after being told to put a cycle into the rear unit by the guard (often with the front one being locked).
It was more common to be asked "Would you be able to step down onto the ramp?" than the guard get the...
We're missing the most important question here:
If the 455s were moved from metro services to suburban on the Hounslow Loop, would they be painted blue or stay red?
The other one specifically omitted LUL.
If we were to get the all LUL stock, Tramlink, Metrolink, etc in this convoy, how big would it get?
ie get all passenger carrying non-heritage standard gauge stuff involved in this party
How much would it weigh?
ISTR on the one I was on the guard apologised for the alteration to the service.
I'm guessing that there was some clever technical reason why they took the intended 377 off and replaced it with a 313?
Edit: Just used a popular search engine and found this...
The 442s are relatively old though. I remember then being new and shiny when I was starting school in 1990.

Can't remember if they used to have pull chains, but even if they did and they have been replaced by pull down...
I've been on Brighton to Southampton services (1 3/4-2hr ) with no toilet.
The display screen said "No first class or toilets on this service"
Didn't stop people complaining about it, but at least they knew about it.
Can you get into trouble for using the "Emergency Exit Only" stairs when there is no emergency?
Some bylaw or something, or is it just a courtesy thing?
If the driver saw the blade was missing but was expecting it to be clear from the distant signal, would they have to stop the train immediately at the signal and notify you or do it as soon as reasonably practicable?
What would happen if a semaphore lost its arm by some means? (weather damage, vandalism, little green men beaming it up whatever)
The automatic protection mentioned for colour lights wouldn't work here, I'm guessing.
Would it be treated the same if the whole arm was gone or just the sticking...
Someone I know is ex-S&T, and they were telling me a while back about some potential (no pun intended) problems with OHLE
One of the things mentioned was that a live cable could induce a parallel isolated cable.
I would guess that having 2 charged wires at different potential and possibly...
And people say that the trains are all stopped at the first sign of bad weather!
I had Vivaldi's Gloria playing in another window at the same time as watching those slow pans over the flooded landscape. It fit well enough that it could have been the actual backing track.
