    RailAdventure Power Cars

Noticed they worked out of Kings Cross on Friday 13th. Looks like it could be route learning?

Class 222 from EMR to Polmadie

Probably because it went south from Preston to Euston and you photographed it on the way back north from Euston to Crewe.

    RailAdventure Power Cars

Have 43423 and 43467 been painted yet or are they still in their rubbed down rough-looking blue?

Class 222 from EMR to Polmadie

This was a 180, don't know the number.

Lumo 803 to Glasgow Queen Street

No they don't do that any more, but they do get sandwiches onboard and advertise onboard meal deals so still plenty to choose from.

Lumo 803 to Glasgow Queen Street

Delayed due to a person hit by a train (non-fatality thankfully) at Huntingdon and also a trespass incident at Durham. Will terminate at Edinburgh.

    December 2025 East Coast Timetable

Arrived bang on time as well. The First Group management were there either onboard or at Queen Street for the first service hence the fanfare! Encouraging for Lumo, hopefully that will be the norm going forward.

    RailAdventure Power Cars

Yes it will be. Lumo starts services to Glasgow from the ECML timetable change on Sunday 14th so won't need the Rail Adventure HSTs from then.

Network Rail Class 950 to be disposed

It's been parked at Ferme Park today. Looked clean but can't see it getting an engine change there! Looks like it's working this today: - https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:U73144/2025-12-09/detailed

    Lumo Stirling timetable

They'll all be in the working timetable (hence why they appear in RTT) and some will be used for training trains until Lumo announce the launch date, which they obviously haven't yet.

First Rail Stirling (Lumo) Rolling Stock

Is that now 2 that have headed off to Lumo, along with 222005?

Avanti to run 0700 Manchester to Euston as empty stock from December 2025 timetable change

If I was working for Avanti I would ask if they could run it with passengers but non-stop all the way from Manchester to Euston. At least then they could claw back some revenue with some passengers onboard, although I doubt it would ever be full. Diversions wouldn't be a problem and if you have...

Lumo 803 to Glasgow Queen Street

A Lumo class 803 has made it to Glasgow Queen Street for the first time today (23/11) with 803003 working a return trip to and from Craigentinny depot. This is ahead of Lumo's launch of Glasgow services from the ECML December timetable change on Sunday 14th December...

Class 222 from EMR to Polmadie

Does anyone know what company did the move? Rail Operations Group?

Class 222 from EMR to Polmadie

It has set off, so looks like Lumo are getting their first 222 today. Wonder if it's going to be worked on first or put straight to use with route learning and traction training for Lumo's drivers. There are STP Lumo paths from Polmadie to Stirling and Motherwell most days so they're ready to be...

Freightliner light engine moves Mossend - Newcastle

Yes I believe so. They've been going on for a while now. Don't think they run every day but they've run quite often.

    December 2025 East Coast Timetable

Lumo already set down south and pick up north at Stevenage and they certainly don't employ shouty people there! It seems to work well though. The platform screens show 'Set Down Only' so the service is not advertised, and there's a PA announcement by Stevenage station staff (GTR employed)...

Do any trains use Platform 12 at Newcastle?

As others have said, it was taken out of use in order to lengthen platform 11. The track is not connected to the junction any more.

Thunderbirds the TV show got its name from the United States Air Force demonstration team known as the Thunderbirds, basically the USAF version of the RAF Red Arrows.
